Hey everyone, weโre incredibly excited to announce that Framer Sites is now live and open to everyone. Weโre rolling all features into the main version so that everyone can enjoy publishing, breakpoints, effects, CMS, styles โ and so much more. Existing projects will open in the old UI, and you can update them when itโs convenient for you. Thank you so much to everyone who has been part of the Beta. Your feedback has been invaluable, and we could not have done it without you.
@jurrehoutkamp The site looks incredible! Tried the beta product and have been a fan of it ever since. It is the perfect solution to bridge the gap between design and engineering.
Kudos to the team!
@jurrehoutkamp congratulation @jurrehoutkamp ..I love the new concept and design. Congratulations on your launch and its very exciting product. The Website design is not easy and then making sure you are updating the content regularly is most difficult...I have an interesting idea to discuss with you, let me know when heat settle down and you are open to listen.
Brilliant! I like Framer Sites features, and it seems to have very nice interface! No doubts it makes you enjoy creative processes! I can't wait to try it out! *_* Big congrats on the launch! ^_^ Can you tell me please, is it possible to have a custom domain? :))
We've been using Framer Sites at Detail for some time now. It's incredibly polished as a product and makes it easy to go from conversation to done quickly.
@jurrehoutkamp As someone in search for an easy-to-use website builder, I can't help but admire what you have to offer. The feature range is huge and deployment seems hassle-free. Also, your video is amazing. Wish you best of luck in the future!

Big congrats on the launch! Iโve been using Framer Sites for my personal projects in beta and it is everything Iโve always wanted from no-code tools: effortless and magical. โค๏ธ
I think what the team over at Framer have done is a massive leap in the right direction in bridging the gaps between Design and Engineering. Personally, solutions that have come before are either have widened the gap by making it easier for designers to express ideas engineers can't build or attempt to make designers do an engineers job which has always came at the cost of awkward unwanted side effects. I've been using framer sites, framer motion, and framer handshake for a few months now and still blown away every time I use it. Great work all around ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ
Looks beautiful! Do you have examples or templates for resources directories using your cms? And important for me, do you have an in-built search function? Please share a demo link in the comment. Thanks s lot.
Started using this as a designer with minimal to no knowledge about coding. Mindblowing to link my own domain names after years of asking friends to help. Feels like the big gap between design and development I had has been filled in. Big fan 5/5.
Congratulations on your launch @jornvandijk & the rest of the Framer team! I am a happy early adopter and excited to see what you will ship over the next few months ๐ฏ
This is a fairly cool product with a lot of design options and no coding required. It appears that the large gap between design and development has been bridged. Non-tech peeps will surely appreciate this gift. Congrats!
We did use Framer sites to create the https://acapela.com/ website.
Overall happy with how it went, but we had a bunch of pretty annoying issues. It actually made me have second thoughts a few times if it was a good bet:
- it was not possible to create breakpoints for components, as a result, we had to create component variants and manually switch them for page breakpoints
- it was not possible to create breakpoints for text styles. As a result, we had to manually update font sizes and weights for every header on every breakpoint, after every change
- code components gave me a lot of headaches. I wanted to darken provided color of a button on the hover. Worked great in 'development' preview, but did break in 'production'. Turned out 'dev' gives you the raw value of color (eg. hex), while prod gives you the name of the CSS variable. Did lose way too much time to figure it out.
- pasting images usually moved them like 9000px out of the page instead of putting it in the layout layer I had selected, also pretty annoying.
And a bunch more. Overall we were using the beta, so I was quite fine with it. Wish you all the best! You're on a great track to be an amazing product for creating websites.
@pie6k We've already improved some of these points for our initial launch (for example, you'll now find that Text Styles have full-fledged breakpoint support) and have the rest in our internal issue tracker!
@pie6k hey Adam, you'll find that a lot of these have been fixed in the public release. We now support text style breakpoints, fixed a ton of bugs etc. Thanks for the encouragement and actually shipping a great site with the beta!
I've been following Framer since they were creating code projects from the desktop app. The project evolved and they have done so much. And still, React exporting is supported partially. The no-code move was smart
