Following on the launch of their great Apple Watch app, Dark Sky 5 is a significant update to one of the best iOS weather apps ever made (and that's saying something, given how crowded this genre is). I love the new focus on the next 24 hours, including the daily push notification with a summary of the upcoming weather. The granular notification settings and crowdsourced weather reporting are really nice touches. This app is a steal at $3.99 for a universal app that supports iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. I bought it at launch over 3 years ago, and have never been charged for an update, through multiple redesigns and the launch of the iPad and Apple Watch apps. This is high quality software worth paying for.
