folk is the next-generation CRM: a collaborative workspace for all your team's relationships. ⚙️ Centralize all your contacts in one place. 🗂 Organize your contacts into groups and build actionable views. ⚡️ Activate your contacts as a team.
Wow, looks super clean and user friendly. Wondering if an Airtable Integration is on the roadmap to help transfer databases and increase automation potential!
Hello everyone,
I’m Thibaud, the founder of folk. I’m really excited to share early access with you today. Everyone who sign ups in the next 24 hours will get priority access this week, and 3 months unlimited use for free. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and feedback!
folk initially started as an internal tool at the startup studio eFounders — but we realized we weren’t the only ones that needed a CRM to centralize, organize and activate our contacts. Quickly, we decided to turn it into a fully-fledged company.
CRMs are the most widely used SaaS in companies, yet they are completely outdated. Onboarding users on CRMs isn’t easy. The tool is hardly customizable. The experience is not enjoyable.
We’ve been under the radar for the last 18 months, silently trying to invent the next generation of the CRM. We’re very inspired by the new generation of No-Code tools like Webflow, Airtable, Notion or Shopify. So we’re trying to bring the same level of customization, simplicity and delight, to reinvent the CRM for all.
We’re just getting started and iterating on the product, so we’re really excited to hear your thoughts.
AMA 😊
I like simple apps... upvoted
btw I've a question on enrichment...is it something you guys rolled on your own or using third party service like clearbit? Also, how often the data gets updated?
@pradeeb28 We use several third party services (including Clearbit) that we compile in-house in order to offer our users the best enrichment option (for example, some providers offer pro email address and others perso email address. We want users to be able to get both).
Really cool new gen CRM – great for small companies to properly handle relations with providers, freelancers, clients, bloggers, etc.
Congrats on the launch!
@lsherman airtable deals with records, a generic object, we deal with contacts.
By changing this primitive, we allow to unlock more powerfull contact centric use cases such as emails synchronisation, sending messages directly from folk, leveraging your contact database, automatic data enrichment and deduplication and in rich automated workflows.
I gotta say Folk is easily the best CRM in the place. Salesforce offers you everything but with a painful experience. Folk just makes the journey enjoyable. Well done folks — keep shipping the delights!
Hello everyone,
I’m Simo, the cofounder of folk. Feeling very anxious, but also very excited about the launch.
For most of us, our daily business life mostly comes down to dealing with a bunch of different contacts: from managing clients to suppliers, candidates or investors, etc.
With these contacts, the touchpoints are multiple: from Zoom calls, emails, calendar events, LinkedIn, mail merge tools, to name but a few.
There are multiple tools to centralize all this data (and trust me, I've tried them all!), but they always didn’t felt as the right fit:
- Traditional CRMs (Salesforce, Pipedrive, Hubspot, etc.) are too clunky, hard to setup, over complex and purpose-built only for Sales.
- Spreadsheets (Notion, Airtable, Google Sheet or Excel) aren’t connected to your communication sources and feel as dead lists of contacts.
folk combines the flexibility of a spreadsheet but synced with all your communication tools!
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts, feedbacks and what you end up building with folk.
@simolemhandez Amazing combination of no-code power and communication tools ! Keep working hard , you're cracking the personal CRM problem for all of us !
@simolemhandez Practice shows that CRM systems are designed to perform various tasks. These include building interaction between departments, automating processes, and assisting in business conduct through proposed transaction scenarios. Of course, it is also worth mentioning the reporting in the CRM system.
I test various CRM to find the most convenient one for my company. Any platform on the market offers several solutions to help improve the efficiency of employees. The main thing is to find the one that best suits my business.
Well done, @tiboel! The product looks amazing. Been a huge fan from Day 1. You've been silently shipping an extraordinary No-Code CRM 🔥 Kudos to the team 😍
Congrats on the launch! Great product ; ) Looks like a next-gen CRM tool. Will definitely start using this after our launch !
Btw, we’re launching in late May or the beginning of June. Check out our upcoming PH page: www.producthunt.com/upcoming/eff...
Our project is called: Effecto. It’s an app for detailed habits, health, symptoms, and meds tracking. Pretty much for everything that is related to your physical or mental health and every daily factor that can affect you.
It was high time someone built a good and user-friendly CRM. Folk’s UX is really above the competition and it makes it a breeze to use. Congrats on the launch!
Super cool! Playing with it and have a few questions.
1. Security. I can’t find anything about data security. The tool really seems to shine when connecting up years of emails but what exactly can your team say in terms of data storage and security? I’m assuming you’re not end to end or you’d say so. Can you tell me about how you keep tons of sensitive data safe? Can your team see my data?
2. Apps. iPhone app? Mac app? In the future? iPhone feels critical for quick notes after work calls on the go.
@devon_meadows Hi, let me give you some answers to your questions:
1. We are currently not end-2-end encrypted. We’re looking into it though to try to make folk as secure as possible. We respect current security standards, encrypt our databases and go through security audits at least once a year. These audits are requested and validated by Gmail teams so they trust us with storing your data.
2. Apps are definitely on the roadmap: iPhone, desktop and let’s not forget Android.
Hope you’re enjoying the product.
Looks absolutely amazing! I rarely regret that I traded a sizable team and multiple workflows for the pleasure of a less stressful life of a solopreneur — and this is one of the ocasions 😅
Congrats on the launch!
Hi,
Congrats for the launch some feedback:
- I received an access, and tried your app, then quit. Now I want to login again, but where is the login button on your public website? I only see to get an access
- I tried to import my contacts from my gmail. I received an email saying it was done. But I don't see any contacts. Is-it a bug?
- I tried to import some contacts from a CSV file. I want to keep some custom columns of data I have in this CSV. So I created new columns in your tool, but I can't associate my CSV columns to the new ones I created in your tool? If I can't keep my data, I will not use your app...
- I really like the Chrome Extension and Linkedin import feature. It doesn't fill the company column, it would be cool to do it.
- Your app design seems a bit "outdated" to me. Weird for a new product
So I have mix feelings, I like your promotion but the product seems to have been released too early and lacks testing.
@emerika Hey, thanks for your feedback.
We’ve removed the login button on our website just for today, to avoid too much traffic at once on the app, but no worries the button we’ll be back from tomorrow!
Regarding the import of your source, I just checked your account and the contacts were well imported, if you open the Search panel you'll find them (the number next to the search is not up to date yet, which is why you couldn't see them. We’re having a lot of traffic which might cause a little delay in calculating everything).
For the csv import feature, we are only able to match existing fields not the custom one yet, but we’ll improve soon! However, in the meantime if you want to import a file with custom field, you can send it over to me at julie@folk.app and I’ll gladly do it for you. Let me know :)
The LinkedIn extension should be importing the company name, I’ll check that!
Anyway thanks for the feedback and happy to jump in a quick call whenever you want to guide you through the best practices on folk.
@emerika Yes, imported contacts appear in the search panel (as unsorted contacts), then you just have to sort them into your groups. You can create as many groups as you want to organize your network the way you want !!
I'm really happy to see it out, and I'm sure it's just a beginning!
Congrats @simolemhandez@julie_abec@tiboel@erwan_gauthier1 !!
I've been watching it for a long time now, it's great to see what you came up with!
Congrats on the launch team Folk 👏
We've been using it for months, it's a real game changer for managing relationships as a team. Can't wait to see what's next!
I've been looking for a flexible way to keep track of contacts of different kinds for a long while, and @tiboel and the team are finally making it happen. Congrats!
This product is going to be huge. In the NoCode era, CRMs need to be more flexible and let people build their own custom tools. Congrats @tiboel@simolemhandez and team 🎉
I had used Folk for some time and it's an excellent starter CRM with a nice UI. Definitely one I' recommend for people wanting to graduate from Google Contacts
