Folio's new update introduces pan, zoom, and blur features to highlight key areas, keep sensitive info hidden, and embed interactive demos on your website easily.
Hey Product Hunters!
It's time to bid farewell to lackluster product videos. With Folio 2.0, you can create interactive product demos with stunning motion graphic effects like zoom, pan, blur, and more. This makes it easy to showcase your product's features and functionality engagingly and memorably.
With pan and zoom, you can focus your users on what matters most in your demo by highlighting specific areas or zooming in on key features.
This helps draw attention to your product's most important parts, making your demo more engaging and effective.
In addition, we've added a blur effect to keep sensitive or confidential information hidden while still showcasing your product's functionality. This gives you more control over what your users see, making it easier to share your product confidently.
And finally, as always, you can embed your interactive product demo directly on your website, giving your users a hands-on experience and increasing engagement with your product.
We're excited to see how these new features help you create even better product demos! Let us know what you think in the comments below.
Thanks for using Folio!
Keith from The Folio Team
@stay4live A really good concept and execution! Congrats! But, why don't you use the interactive demo on your homepage to showcase how to use your own tool? Seems a missed opportunity to me!
Congratulations on the launch! 🎉 Love the features that you guys added, especially the blur effect to protect private/confidential information. These are details that are easy to overlook so it's good that you guys thought of them.
Doing a good product demo it's like an art. This is exactly what I've been looking for during the last few months
Congratulations team, I will be testing your product very soon
Congratulations Team Folio 2.0! looks like an amazing product bet a lot of SaaS platforms will use Folio to create beautiful platform demos. Is there a fremium plan coming in the future, I just saw that there's only a 14 day access available.
What's up Keith and team!
Congrats on the launch, I really like this product demo app as I was just trying to make mine a while ago. I'll be sure to use this. Also, I'm launching my startup ezML soon (https://producthunt.com/products...) and we provide versatile computer vision integration for applications like yours. I can defintiely see some good use cases for computer vision in Folio so please feel free to follow our page and press 'notify' or reach out for a collab!
Best of luck.
Coooool!! Folio is really helpful for user onboarding. One of the amazing features that attracts me is recording complex interactions as video.
Now with zooming, I think it can even replace screen studio in many situations.
Thanks for posting this! I was looking for a solution like Folio just today, I am definitely going to give it a try to make our demo animations at Dokin!
Kudos to the Folio team on the launch of Folio 2.0! 🎉 Your platform has truly transformed the way product demos are presented, now offering immersive experiences that captivate users.
This looks great! I wish someone would do the same for mobile app demo videos. I can’t find a similar solution for product videos for native mobile apps.
@vinvalentino Hey Vincent, that's a great use case. While it's not in our immediate roadmap, the idea is enticing. I am going to share it with the team.
Congrats! I have two quick questions:
1. Considering Screen Studio, Arcade, and Userpilot, how should onboarding differ for different products, scenarios, and users? Onboarding for sellers building a Shopify shop, for example, may be completely different from onboarding for a first-time user of Canva!
2. How should AI be integrated into the process?
@josooba_at_fabrie Thanks for your comment! You're right -- onboarding should differ depending on the product, scenario, and user. We offer resources on our blog to help our users make informed decisions. We're also developing a gallery of product tour examples for inspiration and guidance. And at the moment, we don't integrate AI into the Folio demo creation workflow, but we're always exploring new ways to improve our product and user experience.
To tell you the truth, firstly I didn't understand what is about, why do I see Mercury on your website. I closed it and went to the Mercury site. Then I understood that it's not connected. I returned to your site.
I saw the upvote number and thought that this product must be interested, so that I tried to understand it again.
What can I say - I love this tool, I even put it in my first collection. I wanna try it for our current business. I upvoted to you, and wish you good luck! 🤞
Hey Keith and The Folio Team, congratulations on the exciting launch of Folio 2.0! I just wanted to drop in and say that this is exactly what my team has been searching for when it comes to product demos. I can't wait to give Folio a try!
@savpushparajah
