Hello PH fam! This is the second iteration of Flyright on PH after first shipping almost exactly a year ago. The feedback from this community gave us our start, and we’re so excited to revisit and share what we’ve built since: - Worldwide passport support for 194 countries - Search from and to 2,400+ airports - Health recommendations from the CDC - Metro maps of world subway systems, usable offline - Currency conversion, usable offline - Timezone conversion, usable offline - Saved trips for offline viewing - User profiles 💜 Thank you for landing on our little corner of Product Hunt, and we look forward to your feedback!

Hey there fellow Hunters and Makers! Almost a year ago today, we introduced the very first iteration of what is now the Flyright platform. Since then, we’ve received a lot of love and feedback from the PH family, and that’s helped inspire the look, feel, and goals of Flyright’s evolution. Flyright 2.0 is a direct result of your input, a year’s worth of post-launch retrospectives, and conversations like “how do we empower travelers without a bunch of hand-holding” or “how do we make, arguably, the most boring information around — i.e., info about visa restrictions, health recommendations, currency exchange rates, etc. — not only accessible, but even just a little fun?” And we’re pleased to, once again, bring it to you first! We look forward to hearing from you soon! Thanks and happy travels! 💜 the Flyright team

> don't get any "Metro PDF maps" like in the screenshot despite trying it with Beijing (the city in the screenshot).

> When a tourist visa is required, it would be very helpful if we could get the instructions right from the app. In the Beijing example, I tap the "source link" and it takes me to the homepage of China's ministry of foreign affairs. The homepage, not the page(s) where these details can be found.

> When traveling within the EU, a passport is not even required, let alone "one page per stamp". No stamping is getting done in the first place so that irrelevant info that takes up space in the results.

> does not include a country's emergency numbers (policy, ambulance, fire, etc)!

Can be very useful in the future if improved upon!

Pros:

Great UI, easy to use, can save country info for offline access

Cons:

emrgency numbers missing, metro maps not available (for me) as in the screenshots, redundant info, no details on how to get visa

Oh my, this looks fantastic! Will try it out ASAP! It's so hard digging for specific info on places you plan to visit and keeping everything you find organized for easy access later.

@anna_0x thank you so much! Looking forward to your thoughts 🙂

@doestyhopp hey, just tried it out! I have to say that you've got some great branding and UI design, also love the heavy use of emoji. Now though, I don't know why but I don't get any "Metro PDF maps" like in the screenshot. I even tried Beijing (the city in the screenshot) and it only returns info for visa, health, time and currency. Any ideas? Some remarks: > when a tourist visa is required, it would be very helpful if we could get the instructions right from the app. In the Beijing example, I tap the "source link" and it takes me to the homepage of China's ministry of foreign affairs. The homepage, not the page(s) where these details can be found. > when traveling within the EU, a passport is not even required, let alone "one page per stamp". All in all, a very useful app, presumably in the future more so. Please add more data and links to specific sections of company websites. We still have to find them ourselves if you only link to the homepage.

Hi @anna_0x ! We're working hard to build something that users like you feel confident about using and some things (like the intra-EU visa requirements) we can fix easily now that we know there's an issue. So, thanks for your feedback! 😉Regarding things like emergency contact info and tourist visa direct links, those are all coming in future minor updates. We thought it was important to just put Flyright out there, get the community's reaction, and add more once we heard from users. Finally, are you on Android or iOS? We haven't seen any instances of the map issue you described, but we'll go ahead and take a deeper look once we know what platform it's appearing on 😃
Anna Filou
@presbaw I'm on Android, sorry for forgetting to mention it. I don't have any content blockers of any sort so I don't know why I'm not seeing the maps? Mate 9 global version running Nougat here. Rooted but stock ROM. Anyhow, I certainly understand the importance of getting started instead of perfecting everything first (because I struggle with that! haha) and can't wait for the updates!!
Karine Darbinyan
Ohhh, cool idea!
Benjamin Wallsten
@karine_darbinyan thanks! We really appreciate the support and any thoughts you might have for us! 😁
