This looks interesting. I think I specially like the fact that the animations can be exported as Lottie. Good job @postfl @amacddesign

@postfl @ishanbansal Lottie is a pretty nifty thing. You can check out our five-part video series to get a guided idea further into Flow. https://createwithflow.com/resou...

Tumult Hype 4.0 does the same thing right? No subscription.
Travis Kirton
@androidlove Yeah, but after an upgrade you'll have to buy again. It's not $50 for life. Also, limited to HTML / Media. No support for Lottie, iOS, React, etc. And, the interface is oldschool. You'd save the extra $50 on Flow by just saving time with how easy our interface is to use.
Edgaras
Figma + Lottie?? Yes please!
Andrew M
@edgarascom Thanks mate! It's definitely a wicked combo. Come join us on Slack and share with us what you create. It's always a huge joy among the team to see what people come up with. :)
Yiğit Pınarbaşı
Sounds and looks great but so expensive...
Travis Kirton
@yigitpinarbasi Hey Yigit, what can you suggest a better price? After Effects starts at $252USD/Year, and Haiku Animator is $204USD/Year. Right now we're offering a sale for $100, that's a pretty decent deal in comparison.
Yiğit Pınarbaşı
@postfl Hey there! Of course, your prices are more advantageous compared to other programs. But I'm more of a one-time purchaser. :P Aside from a joke, the dollar rate in my country is very high. Therefore, all global prices are too high for us. Of course, this is not your problem.
Travis Kirton
@postfl @yigitpinarbasi What country are you in? And, what would be a good price in your mind for a tool like Flow?
Max Prilutskiy
Launching soon!
Looking good! 👍
Andrew M
@prilutskiy Thanks Max! Appreciate it.

Travis here, founder of Flow. An awesome motion design made by designers, for designers, Flow makes it incredibly easy to create beautiful animations. I’ve been working on it for a very long time, and I’m really passionate about the space of design, dev, engineering and art. Over the last few years I’ve been focused making Flow the best design, animation and production tool on the market. Today’s release is a major, MAJOR, moment for us. We are soooo looking forward to seeing brilliant ideas and animations come out of the the forward-thinking, cutting-edge, brilliant creators in the Figma community. Hot takes: - Flow syncs really tightly with Figma, and Sketch. - If you’re working in Illustrator, Affinity, or XD you can select a layer, export an SVGs and import that into Flow. - You drag and drop images, audio, and text. - The interface takes on the best qualities of modern design tools, so you’ll feel right at home. - Animating is so easy… When you move, or edit a layer, Flow will magic animate everything for you. - You can export your animations to all kinds of software – yesssss you can make Lottie files! - More than just creating animations for products, you can try creating a slick social ad for your brand. My team and I will be here all day, so feel free to ask any questions and give us all the feedback! Stay sane. Stay healthy. Stay creative.
Mark Z. Lerner
This is great. Just passed it along to our designer!
Andrew M
@mark_lerner Awesome to hear! Here's a collection of handy tutorials for them to get themselves started :) https://createwithflow.com/tutor... Be sure to have them or yourself come back here or on our Slack with any feedback.
Ahmad Firoz
Don't get me wrong but I think the pricing is a bit too high. should be sub 100 on yearly model :(
Andrew M
@ahmad_firoz We appreciate the feedback Ahamd! We'll keep that in mind when it comes to strategically structuring future pricing. :) We need to be sure to accommodate both what Flow can achieve do at scale in teams and organizations, while trying to not leave behind the individual contributors and freelancers that can do so much with our tool. It is a challenging balance for sure.

Was super excited until I noticed it's not available for windows... :(

Tell users, that you don`t support Windows & Android, before collecting emails. Why people should wast their time and give e`mails, even before knowing that there is only DMG installer? Very rude marketing. Huge dislike. Best practice if you dont have some OS versions: spiritapp.io p.s. the product itself looks nice and clean.
Julius Kuschke
You probably get this question a lot, but are you working on a Windows version?
Andrew M
@julius_kuschke1 While not our immediate next objective for Flow, it is something that we have in our sights for the future. Thanks for asking though, it is definitely a pertinent question in today's multi-varied workspaces.
The Yixe
Yet another monthly fee product...I'm gucci.
Andrew M
@the_yixe Do let us know what you feel would be a more appropriate pricing model :) Our yearly deal is half the monthly! We have a full-feature trail for 15-use-days, so do take the time and give it a spin!
Travis Kirton
@the_yixe @amacddesign After Effects is $252/year, and Haiku Animator is $204/year. Right now we have a deal that makes Flow $100/year, that's a pretty decent price for a tool... that you said, the developers did an "amazing job" on. Also, since I am one of the developers, it'd be hard for me to "split" off and compete with myself ;) As for education pricing, even Sketch / Apple / etc ask for a nominal amount of proof that you're a student. If we didn't, then everyone would be able to get Flow for free.
Andrew M
Hey all, Andrew here, Strategist @ Flow. Super excited to finally bring this key evolution to you all. Looking forward to everyone's feed back. If you'd love to see Flow in action with some tutorials, check out these links: How to import from Figma:

I stumbled across this product and it is absolutely fantastic. I've been doing iOS development for ~7 years, and this tool makes a big difference to my development cycles. If you're looking to make a professional app or product, Flow is perfect for anyone to create powerful and polished animations. In addition, they have high-quality documentation and responsive support for the platform. I can't wait to see how the product evolves over time. 11/10 would recommend!
Montana Mertens
Wanted to take it for a spin, but can't import my figma files... "something went wrong" however I use the exact steps of the video. Also the interface panel on the right is a black text on dark grey background, which makes it very hard to use.
Travis Kirton
@montana_mertens Hey Montana, I'd love to help. Would be up for connecting on our Slack group? Here's the link: https://createwithflow.slack.com...
