Power Menu for Finder β€” The workflow enhancing Finder extension for Mac
Featured

Power Menu is a highly configurable Finder extension that adds powerful actions to the right click menu and toolbar within Finder - this makes it quick and easy to do things such as move and copy files, convert images, create new documents and much more. The app comes bundled with preset actions and supports custom shell scripts.

This looks great! The only thing I miss is an option to move a file/folder to a specific location, not the previously preset ones...so in a way to have a "Select folder" option...other than that it was an instant purchase from me πŸ˜‰

My main reservation is about customer service and technical support. Fiplab has put out some handy little applications but emails to them just seem to end up in a black hole.

@jmespge Hi, have you been sending in tickets via our support portal? All tickets get answered within 24 hours (Monday-Friday). If you provide your email, I can try lookup your cases.

Sounds great but should really have a trial.
Rishi
@justcharlie We are working on a trial. It's a little tricker due to the way the app works. Stay tuned!

Does it support symlinks? I would buy it if it allow me to specify symlink in "Move to" & "copy to" menu items.

Looks great! I would contact Setapp and see if you can get it added there πŸ‘

ForkLift version would be awsome!

We've just added 'compress with password' action to our latest update. Anyone have some more action ideas for us?
Rishi
Hey everyone! We are launching our brand new Mac app today and would love to get feedback on our idea. You can get 20% off the full price by using coupon code: POWER20 at checkout :) Also, check out our blog post on Power Menu here: https://blog.fiplab.com/power-me...

I'm sold. Now I'm wondering what's the difference between "Direct Download" and "Buy Direct"
Rishi
@natcollins No difference. Normally we have one of those buttons for the Mac App Store, but this app won't be released on the MAS due to sandboxing restrictions.

This looks very promising, but it overlaps with an app called Filepane, which I have already bought. So waiting for a trial to decide. Good luck!

How does this compare with xtrafinder. Xtrafinder was awesome but is not longer plugnplay after Yosemite. Looking for a replacemnt

OMG edit with vim 😍

Would love a trial version tbh.

@taichi_kato We're working on a trial version - stay tuned :)

@taichi_kato Yeah, need a trial version of this. Not sure how it would integrate with my workflow so a trial would be ideal. Until then, love the product and please keep us updated on this.

This looks interesting, I will definitely give this a try when a trial is available.

Looks like it could be useful, but need to be able to try it out before spending $10. Will definitely be trying it out when the trial comes out.

This looks helpful. I agree a trial would be great. For example, I have concerns that this pic above is a right click and that maybe you are replacing MacOS right click items. Some of those I really want like Get Info and Quick Look. Also, on Move to, there are only three folder options so it seems this move or copy to might just work with the recent folders in MacOS?
Rishi
@byter Thanks for the feedback. Power Menu adds actions to the existing menu and does not replace the default right click options. You can also choose to have all Power Menu actions grouped within a submenu.
Rishi
@byter It works with whatever Folders you add. It is completely customizable from the preferences panel.
Tracy W
I'm gonna buy it I think. What happens when Apple updates MacOS and breaks this. Is it easy to disable?
Rishi
@byter The app make uses of Apple's FinderSync Extension framework, so it's very unlikely a macOS update would break this. You can enable/disable at a click of a button on the app's preferences.

I love this. Instabuy!

I like the idea.
