Hi Product Hunt! πŸ‘‹πŸΌ Thank you Kat for hunting. A bad financial model almost killed my last company. I learned first hand that financial modelling for startups is difficult, time-consuming, and error prone. Most startups use Excel for financial modelling, but spreadsheets are poor for collaboration and version control is a nightmare. We knew something better was needed, so we built it. We built Finmark so that anyone, not just finance pros, can easily make and update a financial model without having to spend weeks laboring over complicated spreadsheets. We also built in safeguards so that the mistakes and errors that so easily happen in spreadsheets don’t plague you in Finmark. Finmark makes it easy for startups to: βœ… Create, update, and share their financial plans βœ… Manage burn rate and cash βœ… Forecast revenue and expenses βœ… Plan for fundraising Hopefully no founder ever again has to experience the pains I felt!

I've been using Finmark for my company for the last two months. Super easy to setup, gets the job done, and best part is that everything is exportable. Highly recommended for any startup, especially the ones that are fundraising!

@jrkane Really appreciate the feedback. Do you think it is too high for smaller companies or larger ones? On the higher end of the scale, we were made sure to price ourselves lower than solutions like anaplan, adaptive insights, and others that start at 6 figures. For the lower end, we priced ourselves less than tools like baremetrics and chartmogul who only provide revenue analysis. We not only offer the full features of those tools, but much much more.

@ramiessaid IMHO it is too high for small, medium, or large companies given the functionality, today. Respectfully, your competition is not any of the companies you listed above - add more functionality in the future and I hope you go crush them all - but for now, again IMHO, I see your competition being a free google sheet and/or a downloadable cash burn template - I do not see the justification for a company to spend $100/month - $2,500/month. Perhaps I'm wrong (it won't be my first time or last time I'm wrong) and you are absolutely crushing it, but I don't believe the pricing is justified as is today. To be fair, I do think the product looks great - is easy to use - and I believe there is a need for it - just an issue with pricing IMHO.

@ramiessaid @jrkane I would agree with this. I was really excited to see this top of PH tonight, as I'm really sick of manually updating my cash flow actuals every month + would love easier ways to run scenarios without ending up with several spreadsheets that then get out of sync with each other. But my current solution is free Google Sheets. I'm also using Digits for free for another way to keep an eye on easy monthly actuals but mainly just waiting for their cash flow tool to launch. Basically, this would save me a bit of time each month/quarter, but not $100/mo. worth to me. I was really expecting to see like $20 a seat or something when I clicked on pricing.

@ramiessaid i would LOVE to use this for my current business. but it isn't anywhere near being able to spend $100 per month for this as i have no funding (and i might never go down that route). would be awesome if you consider small businesses as well as startups as i would be very interested in this and surely many others.

Finmark is actually such an important product. As the person who handles finances in our startup, I can attest to first hand that this financial modelling is 1) time consuming as heck but 2) very important to do. Many startups, even well funded, mismanage their money and Finmark is truly providing peace of mind here. Awesome work team.

@ramiessaid Does this allow for multiple users to update the cashflow, budgeting a future expense, recording actuals and doing a sense check for budgeted vs actuals? I work with small companies and have a client who is getting frustrated with their Google Sheet cashflow. Would love to hear about your referral programme. @peter_neyra Not at all; you just need to understand your business. If you need help, then a team member is happy to walk you through setting up your initial model for free. It should take no more than 30-60 minutes to have you fully set up.

@augurisk Yes! We are already integrated with Quickbooks and will be integrated with Xero before years end. We also integrate into payment processors like Stripe to pull in revenue/customer actuals.
