We had been running into this problem at Plain Sight Ventures recently and after doing a little testing, I found that copying/pasting from Google Docs actually kept all the markdown and images intact as expected ✅
Sometimes the best solution is the simplest.

At NannyML (https://www.nannyml.com/blog), we've been using Feather over the last 7-8 months, and it's been fantastic.
It delivers 💯 of what it promises.
Also, Bhanu has always been super responsive whenever we have questions.
Once I asked if we could have LaTeX support, the next day, it was deployed!
