ETHOS is a social network designed to improve the quality of discourse we can have online. Content focusses on shared causes, and with every session, users should feel better about themselves and the impact of their time spent online.

Everyone has something they care about, and many many people feel rubbish after using social media. What's the link? Well, I believe if it were easier for us to connect with the stuff that really makes us "us", we would feel less empty when connecting online. I'm the founder of ETHOS. The app was borne out of an interest in the power of content recommendation algorithms and the possibility of quantifying this impact on discourse at scale. Can we build a social network that doesn't rely on cycles of addiction? We're early in the product journey, but believe in pioneering technologies that can improve such discourse online. We have a first of its kind fact checking tool, a community of users discussing varieties of topics, and a commercial model that doesn't conflict with the mission [neither in the short nor long-term]. We would love to hear from the Product Hunt community as to what we should be prioritising in our journey to creating a better social environment. Thank you for reading this far!

Finally a social media app that focuses on positivity and productivity. I love that on ETHOS you can be yourself and not have to worry about filters, social comparisons and your life not being as glamorous as others. As a parent that has seen the advantages of growing up social media for young children and young adults but also the damage that it causes I think this product is so needed. There needs to be a kinder and safer social media environment where young people can thrive without risks.
