Automatically keep track of the time spent on your phone, while travelling, at places, while sleeping & on fitness activities. But the data isn’t enough. You can get correlations and trends from Instant's Chatbot coach & weekly reports. Now with goals for phone usage, fitness & sleep. All your data is private, only stored on your device.

Congrats on shipping. Generally speaking, I get the feeling that many quantified-self/aggregator apps try to utilise integrations as a means of not creating additional overhead for the end-user. You don't seem to do that, what's the rationale for shipping without integrations (beyond the iPhone hardware itself)? Thanks!

@noeltock hey Noel, we do have Fitbit, HealthKit, Google Fit and S Health integration to get data from wearables but have been kept secondary. The population of smartphone users that use wearables is very low, so to make the Quantified Self movement accessible to everyone, we are working on the phone's sensors primarily. Our wearable integrations are for the QS enthusiasts.

Hello Product Hunt! We have been working on this release of Instant for the past 7 months based on all the user feedback we got. We built a new visual dashboard and goals within the app apart from other additions like improvements to our chatbot coach, more data from Fitbit, customisable dashboard cards and low energy mode. With goals for phone usage, fitness and sleep our users can have a healthier and more productive lifestyle. Hope you can share some of your feedback with us on this. 😺 For more, you can read about how we built out Instant 5.0 on Medium: https://medium.com/@shashwatprad...

Been using this app for awhile, and I like it so much because I hardly have to do anything! 😻 User Q: Is there a way to figure out how to organize moreaccurate metrics around sleep or workouts? For example: my kid might steal my phone when he wakes up at the ungodly hour of 5:30am. In your app, you think I'm awake at that time, but I guarantee you I am not. 😴 Or when I go to the gym instead of run, I don't see a way to record that. Any suggestions?
Shashwat Pradhan
@nassaraf hi Naomi, thanks so much! 😻 For sleep right now, you can edit it or add data from Apple's Healthkit or a Fitbit if you have one. Again for gymming, you probably will need a wearable to track that more accurately. Please drop me an email on shashwat@emberify.com for any additional feature request or suggestions.

Oh v5.0, PH like a changelog page!

@dainiskanopa I love that this product has been brought to my attention but I agree that updates, however major - even new features that Snapchat or Google add to their apps or new podcast episodes popping up - I'm not sure warrant completely new hunts altogether. Would much rather see previous apps getting re-inserted into the feed or have an updated/new filter. Like you (I'm assuming) I'm more interested in what's completely new. Not what's partly new.

@david_west @dainiskanopa hi David, sure that's a good way to go about it. We do a few minor updates throughout the year but try to get the app here only once a year on our major update with a big new feature that can add value to people who had seen it the last time.

@shashwatpradhan @dainiskanopa Absolutely and that's the right way to go about it :) just think the PH guys need to get thinking about how to segregate updates and new products. Their iOS app is still littered with bugs but glad to see yours is working very smoothly having downloaded it a little earlier.

@david_west thanks for the feedback David!

Great going. I have been using Instant since last few weeks & its a great way to keep track of my daily life. Although I would like to know is there any way to control the daily notifications by Instant coach?
Shashwat Pradhan
@kkkosariya yes you can go into settings and disable it :)

@emberify German translation on the App Store screen shots is appallingly bad. Do you want me to amend?
Shashwat Pradhan
@felixkaiser could you email me on shashwat@emberify.com with the details of the crash.
Steffi Feldmann
@shashwatpradhan @felixkaiser same here. opened the app, was going through the explanation screens, finishing and it crashed. can't open it again.
Shashwat Pradhan
@steffifeldmann could you send me an email on Shashwat@emberify.com. Have you used Instant in the past? Also are you on iOS 10.3 beta by any chance?
Shashwat Pradhan
@steffifeldmann @felixkaiser the issue is with other languages since some string is missing, an update will be available this weekend!
Shashwat Pradhan
@steffifeldmann @felixkaiser we have fixed the language crash in the latest update! Check it out :)
