Hi everyone, I'm excited to finally share Ellipsis News - a project I've been pouring my heart and soul into over the past 6 months. I built it to solve a simple problem I had: I wanted a much more efficient way to consume news on topics that mattered to me (either in my personal or professional life) without spending time and energy scouring various news sources and formats trying to piece together the information I needed. The availability of advanced LLMs, global news APIs, and lifelike text-to-speech models made this a seemingly straightforward problem to solve, and I hope many of you will find the app as useful and enriching as I have since building it. How Ellipsis News works is simple: 1. Choose or define any news topic that you want to stay updated on, no matter how broad or niche (for example: "World news headlines", "Middle East conflicts", "Fintech VC funding", "Central American politics and economy", "Wind energy investments in Southeast Asia", "Music festival announcements in Spain and Portugal"). 2. Choose between 3 lifelike podcast narrator voices. 3. Receive smart, balanced, unbiased, engaging, and highly informative 5-minute audio and text briefings on your chosen news topics every day, derived from stories published in the last 24 hours from 150,000 global news sources (you can also receive episodes in 30 languages, with more to come). There's a lot going on under the hood of the app, in that it sorts through tens of thousands of potentially relevant news articles for each topic, using AI to identify the top 10 articles that will provide the most informative and balanced episode covering highly-relevant stories. My hope is that this app makes a meaningful difference in helping people stay well-informed and up-to-date on topics they care about. But most news sources are based on RSS services, which do not provide detailed information. How do you address this issue?
