Echo — Create your own MeGPT

1
Echo creates your own MeGPT, an AI model that thinks like you. Three steps: Answer 20 deep questions like “What is your definition of success?” An “echo” of you is trained by the app. Share articles and podcasts with your echo to summarize and highlight them.

I built Echo because it’s something I’ve wanted since the first conversation I had with ChatGPT. It’s so impressive that an LLM can code for me, but I want it it to code like I do. I want it to create logos like I would. I want it to write like I would write. I really want a KevinGPT and I have a start to that dream with training my own echo. What surprised me in building this ---------------------------------- I’m amused and amazed at how fun it is to have conversations with an AI voice asking me questions about myself. Even in the months I’ve been building this, it’s gone from a good conversation with GPT4o to a *great* conversation with Gemini Live (with some Claude sprinkled in guiding the conversation). ⚠️ Warning: I see this Echo v1.0 as a step in the right direction towards a much broader goal. This is not the final destination. Echo does not create a version of myself that I can deploy autonomously into the world. It doesn’t replace me…yet. If I had to put a number on it, I’d say it makes an LLM act 30% more like me compared to the generic default. My engineering goal is to keep increasing this number as the technology underlying it improves as well. The future ---------- Right now, your echo summarizes content. Every LLM summarizes content well, so this isn’t new. It’s a starting place. There’s a lot more your echo can do to help you be creative and productive. My echo has helped me build Echo itself, but I haven’t made that type of feature public. Let me know what you want me to build next and how you would use your own echo. I hope you enjoy it! https://echo.wtf/app
