Rene and her cofounder turned down an acquisition offer because they didn't think it was a good culture fit. Ultimately this led to a much better offer from another company, who was able to use their culture as a selling point. It's so interesting to me that a diverse corporate culture turned out to be a competitive advantage for the acquirer.
