Pick up your work right where you left off! Ditto saves your open tabs, documents, and applications to a workspace. Open, close, and transition between your workspaces in one click.
Nice idea, but seems half baked.
1. The design is lacking. It's very developer designed.
2. You can't set program open parameters. For example, I can open VSCode in a workspace, but can't set it to open a directory or project.
I'll keep an eye on future updates, but at the moment it's not worth a subscription at any price.
@fearmediocrity really appreciate the feedback! You're spot on about the design -- It's the work of two backend-focused developers. We're actually currently looking for someone to fill in a front-end/design role within our team to help with that! As for the parameters, we most certainly plan on allowing the user to set that in the near future. Our vision for Ditto is for users to truly be able to pick up their work where they left it off -- Ditto is still in its infancy and we look forward to working towards that!
Can't wait to share our future updates with you and all other users!
I like it, but Iβm struggling with the price. Over a few years that is a lot of money for a relatively small desktop tool, considering we wonβt be using your server space or needing you to keep a complex site up and running.
This would be a perfect fit for SetApp, but in isolation I think this is just a subscription too far.
Iβll keep an eye on your progress as I like the idea, it could be something that helped my workflow as I always have far too much going on at once on my desktop. Good luck with it
As a freelancer, this app majorly helped my workflow and eased my context switching! Would highly recommend if you work on different clients or have different courses at school. The app looks great and super excited to see where it goes :)
Hum, looks pretty cool. As a CEO of a small start-up I'm constantly juggling between tasks (code, user support, e-mails, design) so that could help me a TON.
I'll try it out!
Ditto to Stowe Boyd however - what's the pricing after the 30 day trial?
@lazare_rossillon we definitely share the same pain of juggling between tasks at a start-up! We'd love to hear what you think of Ditto after trying it out. As for the pricing, Ditto costs $4.99/month and we also have plans to add a free baseline version for all users.
π Hey Product Hunt!
We're super excited to launch Ditto. We're a team of engineers & product managers who all shared a pain point in our personal and professional lives: managing tasks on our computer. We found ourselves constantly having to organize our open tabs and windows, wasting time figuring out where we left a task off, and losing focus to the clutter created by everything we had open.
Ditto helps you:
π Be organized.
β° Save time.
π§ββοΈ Stay focused.
How do we make that happen?
πΎ Save your open tabs, documents, and apps as a workspace.
π Switch between your workspaces in one click.
π₯οΈ Close workspaces to remove desktop clutter.
Download Ditto and see how workspaces improve the way you work.
Start your 30-day free trial. No credit card. No strings attached.
We'd love to hear what you think of Ditto in the comments. All feedback is greatly appreciated!
P.S. Currently Ditto is compatible with macOS Big Sur & Catalina.
Congrats on the launch, team!! This app is awesome-- my computer is normally a huge mess with stuff from school, work, and other responsibilities all open at the same time. Ditto is making my life so much better. I am way more organized and productive with this app.
Congrats to Saif and the Ditto team! I've been a tester for Ditto for a few weeks and now it's become an integral part of my workflow. As a student entrepreneur, I need to constantly switch between school work and client projects. Ditto has allowed me to do "deep work" to focus on the tasks I need to do and get things done! I look forward to the future updates π
Have been using Ditto for the last few weeks and cant speak highly enough about it! It is simple and easy to use, yet effective and well designed. Ditto is a game changer that has truly helped me keep organized.
Congrats on the launch, I cant wait to see what you guys will accomplish and where Ditto will go!
