Hey Tornike, congrats on launching Distillery 2.0! It's fascinating to see the level of control and professional focus you're bringing to the generative art space. The 1-image AI training sounds particularly innovative. I'm curious, what has been the most surprising use case of Distillery you've encountered so far? Can't wait to dive into the course and tutorials. Keep up the great work!
Irakli Pkhovelishvili
@alex_dulub thanks! I'm not Tornike but one of the founders and will give you my answer. We have been working with a professor from Duke university and using these functionalities to Archeological use-cases. From trying to reconstruct paleonvironment of an archaeological Etruscan site to training LoRAs on Etruscan Tumuli and generating versions of it.

Congrats!🎉

Congratulations on the launch! It's exciting to see your commitment to empowering power users with AI visual asset creation. What unique features do you believe set Distillery apart from other tools in the open-source AI community?
Tornike Phkhovelishvili
@yasec_kowalski Thanks Yasec! We provide extensive parameter control to our users with our 25+ features. Parameters can be mixed together to direct your visual generation in the way you like, thus making it possible to maintain character and style consistency, follow brand guidelines, and generally use text-to-image generation for professional use. Our latest feature is the only one on the market: 1-image LoRA training, which uses a single image to create a private LoRA model in under 6 minutes. Watch here -
Irakli Pkhovelishvili
@yasec_kowalski in a way, open-source AI community is powering us, we consider to be part of it and what we try to do is curate the best practices of that community, remove the complexity layer as possible while maintaining the level of control it provides. And all of that is brought to users in form of a (relatively) more accessible chat interface. By doing so we hope to open up access to these tools to a ton more folks without the need to go very deep researching how to install everything, what to install, how to combine tools, and so on

I stumbled upon Distillery a while ago and would love it if you guys added the possibility to self-host the app. I love it, that you offer a free udemy course, will have to check it out! Also, more importantly: Could I build a replacement of this with Distillery? https://www.vizcom.ai/
Felipe Infante de Castro
@michacassola outstanding comment. Thank you! Distillery was created with self-hosting in mind -- in fact, we have a working prototype being run in a lab in Duke University right now. Would love to learn more about your use case! You have access to all the functionalities in vizcom.ai in Distillery, so it could certainly replace it with a lot of added features for extra control. The question is what UI/UX is preferable -- maybe a webui layer on top of our backend is all you need.
Micha Cassola
@felipe_infante_de_castro Will have to search for docs in that direction (sketch to photo) then and get started. For the beginning I can make due with Discord, but certainly would be nice! My use case doesn't exist, but when I look at open source tools the first question is always: Can I put this on my server or machine?
Guilherme
Big congrats guys! Just started dabbling with it for our game-related stuff, especially thinking about jazzing up our marketing visuals. It's pretty early days for us, but gotta say, the control it gives us over creating game characters is something else. We're just scratching the surface here, but the thought of what this can do for our campaign images down the line is super exciting. We're still figuring things out, but the first impressions are solid. It's already sparked a bunch of ideas for us, and we're keen to see where it can take our creative content. So yeah, early days but optimistic vibes all around. Distillery's shaping up to be a real asset for creative teams, especially if you're in the game of making your marketing stand out. Keep an eye on this one – we definitely will be!

@guilhermeasd Thanks! Happy to hear. If you need any support for your journey with Distillery, happy to support. Want to jump on a call to discuss further?
