Hey Hunters!
Excited to be back for my 7th launch! The last two were directory businesses and I made a lot of learnings while building and scaling them. I put these learnings into a new product.
Today, I'd love announce the launch of DirectoryStack – a Next.js 14 boilerplate template for building feature-rich, production-ready directory websites 10x faster!
Want to launch your own Ai tool directory or a local business directory? This is your template!
Here's what makes DirectoryStack stand out:
🌟 Key Features:
- AI-Powered Content Generation: Save time with automated descriptions for listings, tags, and categories. All prompts are based on your unique directory and will never be the same!
- Comprehensive KPI Dashboard: Monitor visits, clicks, ratings, revenue and more with our detailed analytics.
- Advanced Search Options: keyword search, tokenized vector search, and AI-powered semantic search.
- User Engagement Tools: Allow users to rate, like, share, and comment on listings.
- Monetization: Integrated ad management and promoted listings help you generate revenue from day 1.
- Fully Customizable: Tailor the design and functionality to fit your brand perfectly.
- Blazing Fast Performance: Built with Next.js and Tailwind CSS for speed and efficiency.
With DirectoryStack, you can focus on what truly matters – growing your business and serving your users – while the technical complexities were taken care of.
Check it out, and let me know what you think!
Oh, and we implemented an affiliate program with generous commission rates (40% or up to $99 per sale) - if you also want to earn some money!
Till
Hey Till, I'm impressed by your advanced features and overall design!
Some specific questions:
1. Can I disable Typescript 😭?
2. How does your user authentication work? Can I set up a basic email-to-database connection, or do I need to use a third-party tool?
3. Are users meant to create accounts and upload their own listings? Is that the idea? Directoryfa.st lets users make and share lists publicly—have you considered adding a feature like that?
4. I love that you have a roadmap. How long until P2P and Booking/Reservation Directory features are available?
5. Have you considered offering a done-for-you price point?
Also, have you monetized like DomainersKit.com or DirectoriesHQ.com? You should write a blog post detailing how this template can help users monetize their database listing ideas.
@kiarabickers
Hi Kiara,
thanks for your thoughtful questions:
1. Currently, there is only a Typescript version. If you are interested in Javascript only, I can certainly create that.
2. Authentication is already setup with Supabase auth using email & password signups. Social Logins are on the roadmpa. The template is using Resend (free tier) to send transactional emails to the users like email confirmation, password change, etc.
3. A collection building feature was not the roadmap yet but I will note it down. Do you think in the direction of a bookmarking tool? Currently, you, as the admin, can create listings, and users can sign up and also create listings (or claim the listings you created).
4. There are a few more monetization features on my immediate roadmap. I will add P2P still this year. Booking & reservation will be up to the demand of the users.
5. I love this idea - I've put it directly into my backlog. If you are interested in something concrete, hit me up on X and we'll find a way. :)
DomainersKit is monetized with Ads, Promoted Listings and Affiliate Links. The blog post about monetizing directories is already in the making!
Thanks again for your questions. Let me know if I can support any further.
