Hi, makers! Itโ€™s manager from Craftwork here. I contacted Tony during the day twice and didnโ€™t get any response so I have to write to you here, in the comments. I noticed that you used some of Craftwork illustrations in your project. Unfortunately, such use isn't allowed by Commercial type of license that you got. As I mentioned before, while talking with Tony via email, you need an Extended License to use Craftwork illustrations in your templates. Looking forward to your response here, or via email, as you wish.

How do I delete my account? Don't like being forced into creating an account just to see how limited the functionality is without paying for it. Maybe do it as Sandbox demo area instead?
Tony Lea
@williamwright Please send me a message on twitter and I will remove your account. It's just all part of the funnel, I hope you'll understand. Maybe consider removing the not recommended status as well. Indie developer here trying to make cool products. Thanks man.

Hello, fellow product creators! My name is Tony and I created Tails because I wanted an easy way to re-use many of the components that I was creating in my projects. I also created this because I am a big fan of TailwindCSS and I feel this can be useful for so many designers and developers. Please give me any feedback or any questions you have about the project and I would love to answer them. Thanks!

@tony_lea4 Great work Tony! congratulations on the launch for Tails! ๐Ÿ’œ much love form Singapore. Trying it out now

@tony_lea4 This works so smooth! I'm super blown away that you use Alpine under the hood. Asked myself recently if I could use Alpine for a drag'n'drop editor and now I find Tails ๐Ÿคฏ Great job!
Tony Lea
@tony_lea4 @fajarsiddiq Perfect ๐Ÿ‘Œ thanks for the support. If you have any additional feedback, I would love to hear it. Thanks again ๐Ÿป
Tony Lea
@tony_lea4 @fscholz You totally should build a drag and drop builder with Alpine, makes it fun again. And a lot easier than you may think โšก๏ธ

@tony_lea4 Nice work man! I follow your stuff for years now (especially because of Laravel) and what I like is that you're trying to be a bit different. Even blog posts on your blog are unique when it comes to topics you're covering.
Daryll Wong
I can see this potentially being a useful tool for developers learning tailwindcss - if the html css export result is realistic enough
Tony Lea
@daryllman Agreed 100%, the HTML is very clean, promise ๐Ÿ˜Š
Minas Marios Kontis
Amazingly simple and very clear design! Would to use it in our startup incubation program. How to contact you?
Minas Marios Kontis
@tony_lea4 Trying to get a subscription but your site has bugs and won't let me in. Seems I also got double charged. Can you help? The design of the blocks seems better than 99% of any other builder and it's a same to have redirect problems and lack of support/live chat.
Tony Lea
@new_user_27238ad653 Thanks for letting us know about that issue, it should be resolved now :) Much apreesh!
Tim Carambat
Love this, was looking for something like it for a bit. Only thing out there was https://tailwindcomponents.com/c... that i was using!
Arjun Kumar
@tony_lea4 Love the page builder, was able to build a page which was in my mind in less than 5 mins. I was able to download the page, but is there any option to save your page or re import your saved page?
Tony Lea
@tony_lea4 @arjunpar Awesome! Glad to hear. At the moment this version does not have the ability to Save or import; however, saving your templates is definitely on the roadmap for version 2 ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ

Update day 3 on using Tails. I paid DevDojo $15 to use the product. Not it looks like they actually just took the money and ran. The blocks are all locked again. @tony_lea4 how can I get a refund?
Tony Lea
@tony_lea4 @rigadoohaus Please send me a message on twitter. There currently is no grace period so if you decide to buy and you cancel right away, you will no longer have access. I'll be sure to clarify more on the site. Thanks for your feedback.
Phil Weiner
@tony_lea4 @rigadoohaus thanks Tony I contacted you on Twitter already. I actually never pressed cancel on the product. My bank account was charged, I used it for one evening, then the privileges were revoked. There are too many bugs for me to keep using this. I would like a refund please. What is the best email address for support?
Tony Lea
@rigadoohaus Please send me a message on twitter. If you cancel your account, then the blocks are going to be locked. Thanks.
Phil Weiner
@rigadoohaus @tony_lea4 I did not cancel my account. You charged me for the Pro plan and the account is still locked. I sent you a message on twitter. What is your support email? I had to go through the bank to get the email support@devdojo.com.
Linda MacDonald
hey there guys :) this looks good :) love tailwind but am curious to know how we can export elements? are they purely components or dependant on some sort of theming in tailwind.config?
Tony Lea
@creative_mac Hey Linda, sorry for just getting back to you now. Yes, you can export the designs as a full HTML page or you can export the HTML specifically to your clipboard. Let me know if that helps :) Thanks!
Michael Girg
Inspired, copied and pasted from Startup? https://designmodo.com/startup/
Tanya Kurkova
@andrew_laurentiu hi Andrew. Which part is copied /inspired? Genuinely curious because I can't see it myself.
Tony Lea
@andrew_laurentiu When looking at designing the builder we took inspiration and ideas from the top page creators out there, so you may see some similarities. Nothing has been copied and pasted. Thanks for the comment ๐Ÿ˜Š
Michael Girg
I talk about the visual part of the builder, and a few blogs seem to be VERY INSPIRED from Startup blocks :D just my opinion :) And, it seems not only me consider this VERY inspired :)
Sal
@andrew_laurentiu It's not like Startup was the first "drag-drop" builder for websites, so I'm sure even those creators had some kind of "inspiration" to develop their product. As far as I can tell @tony_lea4 developed a product to fill a need (Tailwind compatibility) so ๐Ÿ‘ for the effort and contribution instead of claiming so kind of copying is done to some other product you like/worked on.
Conner Panaro
@andrew_laurentiu You are definitely right. Just compared the 2 and it literally is copied and pasted from Startup.
Phil Weiner
Hi Tony โ€“ I just paid to use the pro product. Slick design but that is about where it ends. Firstly if you are using tails know that NOTHING WILL SAVE. This is a 'pray you don't hit a bug' or close the window product. That should have been mentioned before signing up for the pro account. I spent an hour making a design template and all of a sudden when I swapped out a Hero block and tried to edit the class on a button the page refreshed and I lost my whole design. Some of the blocks have bugs in the code so if you click on an element like a button the page will refresh and all will be lost. See the screenshot recording here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/i9jzgi... For now I would like a refund or alternatively you can fix the bugs that are causing the page to refresh and allow people to save their design to the browser memory. Tread lightly if you decide to use this "tool".
Tony Lea
@rigadoohaus Hey Phil, Sorry to hear about thos problems you experienced. We have made sure to make improvements to the designs and fix a few outstanding bugs that was causing the builder to break from time to time. We are also currently in the works of version 2 which will have an auto-save functionality as well as allow you to save the designs of the pages. Hope that helps and let me know if you have any other questions. Appreciate it :)
Tony lea
There have been a few concerns about a few of the assets used in these designs. I am currently using assets from @getcraftwork, which are some amazing assets. None of the assets are included in the downloadable version, they are simply static PNG's that you can then replace with your own images. I am going to be in contact with them to see how we can either work together or rectify the concern. Thanks again for all your support :)
Alejandro Camacho
Great job guys! The design and page layout are outstanding! Is this compatible with WordPress or any CMS? It'd be awesome if you'd develop an extension to make this tool universal Anyway, congrats again!
Tony Lea
@alejandro_camacho Thanks man! It's not currently compatible with any CMS; however, these templates can be used to create your own custom theme in the CMS of your choice. Thanks again for the kind words ;)
Giacinto Carlucci
Nice! Does it provide html result at the end?
Tony Lea
@giacintocarlucci Thanks! ๐Ÿ™ Yep, when you wish to export your design you can copy the HTML to clipboard or you can Download a fully functional HTML file of the design ๐Ÿค™
myflixme
From the makers of tailwindcss the tailwindui.com is cheaper you only pay once and access it lifetime
Tony Lea
@myflixme Yeah TailwindUI is nice as well. I would say that they will both pair well together ๐Ÿ˜‰
wesley almeida
@tony_lea4 I need to help! First congratulations on the tool. I made the payment via card and the tool did not release completely, it is still free.
Francesco Signoretti
Nice! What's the tech stack powering the tool?
Tony Lea
@francesco_signoretti Thanks! Itโ€™s all behind the TALL stack. TailwindCSS, AlpineJS, Laravel, and Livewire. Great stack to work with ๐Ÿ˜
Na
Tailwindcss 2.0 ?
Tony Lea
@nabil_ben Yessir! version 2 :)
Thibaud
Like the idea, didn't like being forced into a DevDojo account that I can't even delete on my own. Looked promising but you can't do much editing (except content/classes on existing blocks from pre-made templates).
Tony Lea
@tgerin Thanks for the feedback, this is the original release and weโ€™ll be adding more customizations to the blocks in the next couple versions ๐Ÿ‘
