Free ultra realistic text-to-speech voices you can use to generate narration for your voiceover project.

This would be particularly useful for podcast ads (or dramatic movie trailers).

@rrhoover that's definitely where this is going.

Hello! A little over a month ago, Descript released Overdub, our technology for creating an ultra realistic text to speech clone of your voice. Now, we're releasing Stock Voices - a versatile set of high quality Overdub voices that you can use (for free!) for your voiceover projects. Listen to them in the demo! And if you haven't checked out Descript, it's an magical audio / podcast editor. descript.com

@andrewmason Would you be considering to add male and female English voices from other country such as India?

I was working on some product video demos this past week. Tried Descript last week before this release. Was stringing together Azure's Text to Speech + ScreenFlow. I'll definitely need to revisit Descript now.

This looks great. I was just looking for someone to make a voice for a video demo I'll be making for a company. One small thing if I may - I didn't expect to start downloading it when I clicked "learn more" in the links.
Wow, I'm blown away by how realistic these text-to-speech voices are! I have just tried these out in Descript myself and am very impressed with the results. Is there any chance if I could ask whether you are planning to release more stock voices in the future? It'd be quite nice to see voices in different languages, or even English voices with different accents (e.g. British, Indian).

What a misleading sub title "Free ultra realistic text to speech for voiceover projects" Overdub is not free and it's under your pro plan. Stop gimmicking.
