Through a series of independent but linked modules, you can get a sense of how an Investor would perceive your business, see benchmarking data for key B2B SaaS metrics compared to top quartile peers, and understand the journey to raising VC funding.
We are really excited to share the B2B SaaS Blueprint as part of the launch of our new VC fund, Defiant.
👀 We know from speaking to scores of founders how difficult it is for them to assess whether their B2B SaaS business is in a good position to tap VC funding. That's why we created the Blueprint—to offer a VC’s perspective on your business and help you identify areas to strengthen.
Simply input a few key metrics, and we'll enhance this with insights from your website. At the end, you'll receive your Blueprint Report, showcasing how your business benchmarks against others and highlighting actionable priorities to improve before approaching investors.
The areas of your business that we focus on within the product are:
🎯 Your core metrics and an Investor's first impressions of them
🎯 How attractive your market is
🎯 Your Product Market Fit (PMF)
🎯 How much you are seeking to raise
We'd love to receive any feedback you might have, so please send us a message or comment here.
@pomazau hi Dzianis thanks for the message. It's a mixture of AI and then deterministic calculators which leverage our large dataset of startup metrics.
Absolutely love the concept of SaaS Blueprint! Building a SaaS product can feel overwhelming, but having a structured roadmap and actionable insights like this is a game changer. Kudos to the team for making the journey simpler for entrepreneurs and founders. 🚀 What inspired you to create this blueprint, and how does it stand out from other resources in the market?
@smrati_tiwari4 Hi Smrati thanks for reaching out. We meet with a lot of founders so see the same questions time and time again - so we thought we could answer many of those via a tool, rather than reaching into spreadsheets of companies each time. We aren't aware of anything quite like this on the market, but would love ot hear if you know of anything.
Any feedback we would also love to hear. Thank you.
Congrats on launching Defiant. I love the focus on actionable insights like core metrics and PMF—it’s exactly what founders need to prepare for VC funding. I might write a detailed article on the product. Good Job
@himanshuraikwar Thanks Himanshu, appreciate the feedback! PMF is obviously a very nebulous and hard to measure construct but we think you can stack signals together to at least get a proxy for it. If you need anything for your article, please reach out.
A very relevant tool for SaaS. It's very important for us to know these standard and when it's the good time to meet investor.
Congrats on your launch !
i think his is very good but this tool is very good other tools like textbehindphoto are also good but they are not number one how can tey get number 1 on launches?
@alexdosreviews Alexjandro I love text behind photo! we should chat! How did you build it?? https://ibb.co/rMTDqwh
I think part of upvotes is how many people have the problem that you are trying to solve, and while text behind photo is really cool technically, there probably aren't that many people trying to put text behind photos on a daily basis. Awesome work though, I build our apps myself too, keep coding!
Great initiative! I find this Blueprint concept intriguing. The self-assessment aspect could be a game-changer for founders who are often unsure about their VC readiness.
I'm particularly curious about a few aspects:
How will your work help handle the nuances between different B2B SaaS business models? For instance, can it be used to differentiate between product-led growth vs. enterprise sales approaches when benchmarking metrics?
Since you mention website analysis, what signals do you look at to assess Product Market Fit beyond the traditional metrics? I've seen many companies with great numbers but questionable PMF, and vice versa.
I would love to see when you include benchmarking against successful companies in specific verticals (e.g., dev tools vs. HR tech). This could provide even more targeted insights for founders.
I would recommend it to SaaS founders who approach us at different stages of their business and see how this tool evolves and helps bridge the knowledge gap between founders and VCs! 🚀
I want to share my impression of the SaaS Blueprint application – this is a great tool for SaaS business owners! The app helps you see your company through the eyes of an investor, which is an invaluable resource for understanding how to improve your business and attract the attention of venture capitalists.
Often, when founders look to raise investment for their product, they might find themselves unprepared for the metrics or business numbers that VCs ask for—sometimes even encountering terms they’ve never heard before.
By the way, the logo is fantastic! Really excited to see such a great product taking shape.
Congrats, Cam Rail! I love the concept of SaaS Blueprint. One concern, though: if invalid or fake inputs are provided, it might lead to inaccurate reports, as investors’ perspectives vary and could influence the final report. Just curious about how you handle this. Great work overall!
