People often get confused with business cards and Linkedin, here's a link to a healthy discussion we had a few days ago and still the comments keep coming. https://www.producthunt.com/disc...
I would like to make it clear that, business cards are good when 1V1 interaction and LinkedIn when networking or trying to find a contact. Both have their importance and this will remain for all the coming years because business cards provide information that may/may not be provided by LinkedIn in the first interaction with a new person.
This is a great idea and will be the future of business cards, but it's going to be challenging getting people to accept this new habit.
A good idea I've seen to transition people into this new habit is where you have one tangible business card that has a NFC chip directing to the person's digital business card (DashLynk in this case). It's a good way to easy people into this new idea, until we get to the point where it's natural.
@morg7801 Thank you Craig for you kind words, we are on the job hands on make this successful, if you have some marketing ideas do let us know. Also, the reason we didn't choose NFC card path is because if the people are going to forget their physical business card, they would tend to forget the NFC too in comparison to them forgetting their phone, which is a rare case in todays time. Hence we stuck to people using the digital card on their phone and sharing it via link or QR code. 2nd we wanted to be asset light have any physical card will increase our inventory and plus the hassel of delivery and returns.
@shalin_doshi would like an option when making the design to put in our own colorcode. For example i tried to put the color of my profile pictures background as the color of the rest of the card
