Hi ProductHunt! Daily Portfolio Updates is a fun weekend project I worked on with @aryaman_gulati ! Using Bland AI's custom AI phone agent and Perplexity's PPLX model, I created an AI financial analyst named 'Deborah' that provides real-time, over-the-phone stock portfolio updates every morning. Each update is an interactive discussion that lasts around ~2 to 3 minutes on the stocks of your choice. I am excited to learn what users think about this type of content delivery (phone call v. reading, podcast, etc) and whether Deborah's updates are valuable to retail investors.

Awesome - really interesting! Two questions: 1: why Perplexity’s model? 2. why the product decision to do voice vs a text? (I imagine for technical challenge?)

@alexdanilowicz Thanks for checking out + Magic Pattern’s support of our building. 1. We chose sonar because it was able to find stock news and summarize quite well out of the box. Instead of building our own RAG system using other data sources, Perplexity felt like a good place to start. 2. One hypothesis we have is that audio is an increasingly popular medium for information delivery + people are overwhelmed with textual information, therefore audio is the best way to deliver this information. A phone call is one way to test this assumption. Personally, I enjoy audio over text.
