Get a feed of high-quality, developer-related content, personalized to your interests! Stay up-to-date in one place with zero effort! Connect with like-minded devs by discussing articles directly on the article itself via our new Companion Widget!
Hello world to all of the developers out here on Product Hunt π
Today we are launching on Product Hunt with some game-changing features that will help supercharge the way you stay up-to-date as a developer!
Our team has worked hard on making it even easier for our 160K+ (and rapidly growing) developer community to stay up-to-date with some amazing new features we are sure you will love π
Letβs dive in!
Whatβs new?
---
1. The brand-new Companion Widget enables you to discuss, upvote, and bookmark any article directly on the article itself! No more switching tabs to share your thoughts. daily.dev lets you join the conversation anywhere, even on sites without a built-in comment section! We believe this feature will open up more in-depth and meaningful discussions between developers, adding extra value to the global developers community.
2. Community picks allow developers to share valuable and entertaining links directly to the daily.dev feed! This is a huge step forward as it allows you to share any useful resource with the community, helping other devs level up their knowledge!
3. AI-generated TLDR gives you a quick summary of every article before you go on to spend your precious time reading through the whole thing!
First time hearing about daily.dev?
---
daily.dev is where developers grow together. We provide a feed with all the content you need as a developer.
Some of the features that the community loves most are:
* 600+ sources in one feed - There are 100s of dev-related publications out there, we bring them together into a single feed!
* Save time - We believe that developers need an efficient way to discover high-quality content, so we only add top-rated articles to your feed (and filter out the rest!)
* Personalize your feed - You choose what to read (such as JS / React / DevOps, etc.). Our tagging system will then show you articles that match your interests!
* Bonus - itβs 100% free and open-source π
Our team is looking forward to hearing your thoughts, so feel free to share your review below!
Congrats on the launch.
Loved the trailer on the landing page.
Did you guys do it in-house or did you work with someone to create it?
Looking for help with a short video as well and if you didn't create it in-house, would love to learn about the agency that did it for you.
Thank you :)
@salil_sethi An agency did it for us who are very talented, if you want to drop me a DM on Twitter tomorrow I will get the details for you if you want.
My handle is @GrahamTheDev on Twitter.
Thanks so much for supporting out launch! π
@codename_one thanks for the support! π
Are there any features in particular you would like to see added that you think would make a difference to you as a content creator?
@grahamritchie there are several. First, a lot of my content isn't associated with me because some republication doesn't include the right twitter account (if at all) and I can't fix that. It would be nice to have a more holistic view of a content creator. E.g. if an article of mine gains traction, I'd love people to know about the courses I publish and the books I have coming out.
I'd love to have these people follow me on social. So deeper integration into that would be great.
As such it would be great to have more power in customizing an author page. A greater ability to engage with the audience etc. Perhaps some deeper insight into community sentiment about publications outside of my reach. E.g. when I syndicate an article I have no visibility into its traction. This can open up an understanding of that.
@codename_one thanks so much for this feedback!
Let me discuss these items with the team and see what we can do!
Am I ok to reach out to you on Twitter if we have any questions etc?
Long time user here.
I can't recommend daily.dev enough!
It's one of my key resources for all dev news, plus, the team is delightful and friendly π
Awesome new features!
Congrats on the launch @nimrodkramer@idoshamun@tsahi_matsliah! π
Keep bringing it! πͺπ½
@yoav_ganbar your comment made me smile :) Thank you! If you could ask us to build one feature that would literally make you say "OMG! that's so awesome they finally built it!" - what would that feature be?
@nimrodkramer I think the killer feature you could add is smart bookmarks. What I mean by this is the ability to bookmark and have articles auto-tagged and sorted for you by topics.
I still haven't found a tool that is good enough to curate all my dev resources. Maybe you could add an import from other services (Pocket, Refind, and whatnot) into the app.
I have been using daily.dev since April 2019 and cannot recommend it enough. It's been a great journey watching the team build this from a humble extension into a platform that brings the development community closer with the help of amazing developer content, monthly live streams, daily.dev sponsors and more. π
Looking forward to seeing what the future holds for daily.dev. π
@thinkverse We have some exciting new things in the pipeline (sadly I can't give anything away yet! π), so we hope you enjoy them!
Thanks so much for the amazing review and support and I am so glad that daily.dev is useful for you! π
I am a long-time user of daily.dev, it has been my browser home page for quite a while. I like that it gives me stories and topics of interest after I trained it using the simple tag system. Always fresh and exciting reads.
@compileswift Thanks so much Peter! The tagging system certainly is one of the best features we have, but it is like the unsung hero, so thanks for pointing it out!
Is there anything we could add or improve to make your experience even better? π
@grahamritchie I don't think there is anything I'd want to change at this time. It serves my need to be informed and learn. The recent addition of the browser 'quick tools' as I call them, has helped me share my comments and stories with other folks without leaving the page.
@compileswift Yeah, we call it "the Companion", but I like the name "quick tools" π!
Honestly when I saw the demo for the first time I was blown away and I am glad someone else loves that feature as much as I do!
Glad to see we cover all the bases for now, but if you ever think of something you would like to see, just reach out to us!
Once again thanks for the support today and thanks for the feedback ππ
I would like to first congratulate @nimrodkramer, @idoshamun, and the entire daily.dev team for creating an amazing product.
I've been using daily.dev close to the beginning and when early issues arised, Nimrod and Ido both helped me out through them by working with me directly. The team at daily.dev is fantastic and really care about their users.
We've also been using Daily.dev as a business resource for us at https://wundergraph.com/. If you publish blog posts, daily.dev is one of the best tools for cross posting your blog posts. It allows you to just add a RSS feed and everytime you publish a new post, it will be added to the site! This has been amazing for us as it allows us to have another source for our blog posts and daily.dev is usually in our top 5 referral sources for traffic!
The widget is super useful, they are open-source π, and the team is receptive and fantastic!
Congrats guys on your launch and can't wait for the future of daily.dev!!!!
@nimrodkramer@idoshamun@francesco_ciulla I also forgot to mention that the work Francesco does with cultivating the developer experience with daily.dev and Open Source software in general is AMAZING!
Thank you for helping out the developer community and for all the content you produce for us π
I love this product and the amazing team.
Thank you for the amazing product that makes me more productive every day.
Congratulations on the launch @nimrodkramer.
@pradumnasaraf Thank you so much! We're happy to have you in our community π Obviously, daily.dev is built by an amazing team, and they deserve all the credit in the world :)
One of my favorite extension so far. I can't think any of the days when I have not read articles suggested by daily.dev.
It's a knowledge hub and over the time it has evolved so much and helping everyone in everyway.
Much growth to you guys, Congrats on the launch. :)
@nimrodkramer That was the exact word I thought as soon as I started using this awesome extension. But If I talk about features, It has to be customizing my feed. And UI is the cherry on the cake. :)
I have been using daily.dev (almost) every day for over two years now, and not only has it helped me expand my knowledge on topics I already knew about, but also helped me learn about new topics as well. Personally I have set a goal to read at least 3 articles a day.
And to please my daily.dev overlords @nimrodkramer@idoshamun:
Donβt forget to add the GitHub Action for daily.dev, that way you can show off your DevCard on your GitHub profile.

If I remember correctly, I started using Daily Dev towards the end of 2019. Since then I used it regularly, and it has become one my favourite apps.
Congrats on the launch and good luck!
@catalinmpit Thanks so much! π Always great to hear that people have used daily.dev for a while and have made it part of their weekly routine! And obviously thanks for being part of our community launch!
@alex_patterson so glad you find it useful! I personally love that it pops up and reminds me to actually read some stuff!
Thanks so much for popping by and showing your support! π
I canβt imagine my browser without this extension anymore.
Every time I open a new tab I get the chance to spot a new article.
Itβs really tough to stay uptodate with the tech world as itβs changing so fast, but daily.dev makes it really easy to not loose track.
Thank you for this amazing product π
daily.dev has been an amazing experience all through! No more stress when I need to scout for interesting reads π and the new updates have made things smoother and a lot more interesting. Go team! And good luck with your launch. π
As a developer and working on a fast paced environment. This is invaluable tool that keeps me up to date on the latest tech trends and news. I almost cannot live without it. ππ₯°
@javiercarrionjr *almost* cannot live without it...it looks like we need to work even harder! hehe
I am of course joking, we are so glad you find the product useful!
If there is anything that you think we can improve, please do let us know! π
I use daily.dev, really love this product - it's a great way to consume tech news + their TLDR summaries feature is very helpful.
I highly recommend !! π
