Hi all 👋🏻 We are an early-stage startup, and this is our first launch on Product Hunt! We are developing an open-source tool for application deployment, a mixture of GitOps & ClickOps, and would love to hear what you guys have to say about it! It’s no secret that Kubernetes can be daunting, especially when you are just starting out. Tech companies often require their developers to use Kubernetes on a weekly (if not daily) basis, but they often lack the knowledge to do so. Cyclops tries to separate the duties of DevOps teams and their developer teams. Some key features: 🖱️ deploy your applications to your clusters with just a couple of clicks 🙈 edit your configurations without ever seeing a YAML file ☣️ validate the input of your developers when they are deploying applications 👀 see the state of all the applications in your cluster with just a glance 📱 get a detailed overview of your application’s resources and their health 🧩 easy integration with your system 🔄 dynamically tailored UI based on your configuration If you like what we are doing and want to follow us on our journey, follow us on our socials and give us a GitHub star ⭐

I've been following this for quite a while, awesome progress team! :)
Martin Šošić
Looks great! What is the plan for monetization, where do you plan to draw the line between free and paid features? What can we expect to be / stay free?
Petar Cvitanović
Glad to hear that @martin_sosic! The current plan is to create a managed solution and run Cyclops on our infrastructure. That way, clients could plug in their Kubernetes clusters and would not have to configure and manage their instances of Cyclops. As for now, all features will be included in the free version, but that might change as we expand Cyclops' functionality.
Garen Orchyan
Looks great. Congrats on the launch team, best of luck to you today 🦄🔥
Juraj Karadza
Thank you @orchyan !
Luka Pavlović
Congrats guys! Looking forward to using Cyclops and seeing it grow
Juraj Karadza
Thanks @thelux! We are actively looking for feedback, so make sure to come back to us once you tried it 😁
Matija Sosic
Congrats, Juraj and Petar! I've been following you for a while, and your progress is impressive! Tools that make Kubernetes easier to use are always welcome in my book :D Could you tell us a bit more about the backstory and how you got the idea? Also, where do you see Cyclops being used and what are the plans for the future? Thanks!
Petar Cvitanović
Thanks, @matijash! Initially, it was a pet project that served as an overview of Kubernetes resources, and it was just a project we could learn from by implementing. At some point, we asked ourselves, why should it be read-only? Let's deploy apps through Cyclops and make a simple form that allows you to deploy some simple applications. That was cool but very limited. Different developers/companies deploy their apps differently and must configure their applications differently. And in a couple of iterations, we got to the current solution of Cyclops being a dynamic interface that developers can customize to their needs.

Ryan Borger
As an avid kubernetes user this looks pretty cool. Does it display any pod information on the UI? Such as memory usage or anything?
Juraj Karadza
Thank you @ryan_borger 😁 Currently, the stats you can get for a pod are name, namespace, the node it's running on, its phase/status, how long it has been up, the image it's using, and the logs. We do not support memory usage or similar stats right now, but that's a great idea, and we have been thinking about it as well.

Thrilled to see Cyclops making its debut on Product Hunt! As someone deeply involved in curating AI tools, it's exciting to encounter an early-stage startup aiming to demystify Kubernetes with a blend of GitOps and ClickOps. The approach to ease the deployment process and bridge the gap between DevOps and developers is not only innovative but highly needed. Cyclops' key features, like click-based deployments, YAML-free configuration edits, deployment validation, and comprehensive application overviews, are game-changers. The focus on simplifying the Kubernetes experience while enhancing usability and integration is commendable. I'm eager to see how Cyclops evolves and contributes to making application deployment more accessible and less intimidating. For those interested in groundbreaking AI tools, I invite you to explore Opendigg(https://www.opendigg.com/), where we celebrate innovation like Cyclops. Best of luck to the Cyclops team; your journey is one to watch!
