I was looking for an intercom alternative as their pricing is just crazy. I'm happy to discover Crisp and will take the time to try it :)
Looks way better than HappyFox, which I'm thoroughly frustrated with. I've signed up!
Ethan
Congrats! Competition is always good and no one can argue that your pricing is much simpler than Intercom's! French Tech FTW 😉
Pierrick Ganon
Very nice and congrats on the new version! We were a user before and ended up switching to Intercom because of your limited features on the previous version. We will definitely have a look again. What's the main differences with Intercom?
Baptiste Jamin
@pierrick22 I think that it's a different point of view. At Crisp we choose to build simple Desktop apps to have all your customer communications in one place. A kind of Slack, for customer communication.
Björn Antonissen
Looks beautiful. Can I integrate Crisp in my app for customer support?
Baptiste Jamin
@bjornftw Is it a web app or a mobile app?
Baptiste Jamin
@bjornftw As we are a team of 3, we had to delay a bit our mobile SDK, but we'll add a mobile SDK in Crisp.
Alexis Lewalle
@bjornftw Otherwise Bjorn, if you are using Slack and cannot wait weeks, feel free to try Slaask.com, a customer service app for all Slack users! You can use it on iOS as well as Android!
Baptiste Jamin
@bjornftw Hey. Our mobile SDK is coming soon. Feel free to reach us on the support to try the beta :)
Stelios Pardalakis
We use a Crisp and it's a great tool highly recommended!
Nicolas Princen
This is very encouraging. It's time to build real competition to Intercom, whose pricing is ridiculous and customer service abyssmal. Not to mention the clunky messaging. I am really looking forward to using this.
Baptiste Jamin
@nicoprincen Hi Nicolas! We trust that good competition is what drives a market. At Crisp, our values are : fair pricing, minimalism, and good customer support. As CEO, I like chatting with customers as well. It's important to use your own software to understand users!
Niv Dror
@nicoprincen I haven't heard a bad word about Intercom until this 🙄
Justin Mitchell
@nivo0o0 eh the pricing bit is at least true. It's crazy pricey, especially for early stage companies

@nicoprincen sorry to hear you've had a bad experience. It upsets us to hear that :( Pricing is something we are actively addressing at the moment. We hope to have an update for you later this year. We want Intercom to be affordable for businesses of all shapes and sizes–unfortunately, that's really tricky so we're taking our time to make sure we get it right.
Nicolas Princen
I appreciate your reaching out. All the CEOs I know are happy with the idea of Intercom more than with the product itself. After a few weeks it's shortcomings are pretty clear, and the very inflexible pricing leads to very unpleasant surprises when you grow. It's pretty obvious that the company abuses its deep integration to its clients BI to maintain very high prices. It will take competition to bring prices down quite dramatically, as Intercom has not been taking this issue seriously on its own. I am generally a champion of innovative companies and I never find myself criticizing other companies, but this one I feel is really pushing it. Happy to see very high quality products like Crisp or Batch pop up and bring something new.

Congratulations on the launch @quentin_dq @valeriansaliou and @baptistejamin 👏 It's awesome to finally see the new version :) We are using Crisp at Argos VR Systems and we love using it. I am looking forward to use Crisp 2.0. What was the hardest feature to implement in the new version ?
Baptiste Jamin
@mrcalexandre @quentin_dq @valeriansaliou Thank you Alexandre! This new version has been release for month in private beta. The biggest challenge was to ensure compatibility for existing users and beta users. @valeriansaliou did a great job on it. On my side, I think that my biggest challenge was MagicBrowse, our new feature to see your users' screen :)
Alexandre Mouriec
@baptistejamin @quentin_dq @valeriansaliou Thank you for your answer :) I understand, the MagicBrowse feature looks very useful to see where people have problems.
Matt Samet
Hey there - is Crisp similar to Smooch.io?
Baptiste Jamin
@yozzozo In some ways, because we are integrated with our own Livechat, Messenger, Slack, Email and SMS, but what Crisp has is a dedicated app to reply to your customers.
Thomas Ketchell
Great job @baptistejamin & @valeriansaliou for Crisp 2.0 launch (we've been using their beta). We recently switched over from Drift to Crisp and we've been happy with the smooth transition. They also fix bugs quickly within a few days of you notifying them. Looking forward to continuing the Crisp journey!
Marc Montagne
We've been using Crisp with Toolwatch since the beginning, it has been an amazing product helping us interacting smoothly with our users and it's getting better day after day. Congrats to @baptistejamin and @valeriansaliou for the amazing work so far, looking forward for the next features!
Baptiste Jamin
@marcaime @valeriansaliou Thank you Marc for being one of our first 10 users!
Jordy van Gent

Used it with a small number of test uers so not sure how they perform with a high traffic site. But the onboarding and installation are easy.

Pros:

Great and adjustable design

Data in the EU

Pricing

Integrations

Cons:

Triggers could be more extensive

James Hunt
Have been using Crisp live chat now for a while on LiveWorkFit, and these new features seem to make it a much more comprehensive tool. Nice work guys! 👍
Baptiste Jamin
@thetwopct Thank you!
Konstantin
Amazing release, I love the new Triggers and MagicBrowse features! It really feels like Crisp is becoming a full-fledged messaging solution. And with the reasonable pricing I think Crisp has a good chance to compete with the big guns. One thing that I found confusing, though, is that submit button on "Upgrade to Pro" modal says that I'll be charged $0/month. I understand that it refers to a free trial period, but I think users would want to see the actual subscription price before giving away credit card information.
Baptiste Jamin
@koss_lebedev Thank you for this feedback. We added your bug on a post-it, @valeriansaliou is processing :)
Taylor Sloane
Amazing job with v2 guys! Looking forward to how you grow from here 🎉

Thank you Tristan! Over the last six month, Crisp Team worked on a revolutionary new version. We trust in a world where Business is closer and personal with customers. As communicating with users requires some time, we made Crisp 2.0 as a simple, and pleasant solution to communicate with customers everyday. From communication, user management, to analytics, many features are built-in to keep all your customers in one place. We hope that you'll like it and our team is here if you have questions :D

@baptistejamin Love the product and the referral system actually buys me coffee now ☕️ Use mine to buy me a cup of black gold ;) https://crisp.chat/?ta=eeUwqPXaTm

Do you have Zapier integration with the ability to update records (or create new if not found), tag users via zap, and add custom fields via zaps? I pay a fortune for intercom so would definitely consider this if you had those things as feel intercom has become somewhat stale due to their huge size. For me I rely on that in depth Zapier integration though, intercom does admittedly do this quite well.
Baptiste Jamin
@jasondainter As we are only three today at Crisp, we can't integrate with Zapier, as it requires a huge work to maintain. When we'll have some time after the Crisp 2.0 release, we'll build this Zapier integration :)
Alexis Lewalle
@jasondainter Jason, if you are using Slack, feel free to try Slaask.com, we provide a Zapier integration as well as 40 other custom integration's! And by using Slaask, you don't need to use anything in addition to Slack to take your customer communication in charge!
Emmanuel Lemor
@lewalle @jasondainter humm trying to poach customers away from 1 chat vendor while on their page is humm rather 'gauche'... isn't it? ;) lol
