Ed Catmull (President and Co-founder of Pixar) gives us an all-access trip into the nerve center of Pixar Animation - the meetings, postmortems, and “Braintrust” sessions where some of the most successful films in history are made. He describes in great detail how he created cultures of innovation and creativity during school, at Lucasfilm, and the bumpy ride to start Pixar. You also get amazing insights into how Pixar movies were conceived, and what they try to achieve with shorts. This book gave me a greater appreciation for the entertainment industry, and the role it plays in our lives.
