Hey all, Aaron from Creative Market here! We're excited to launch Creative Market Pro today, our new curated design asset subscription for creative professionals at agencies and in-house design teams. We first launched Creative Market back in 2012 with a slick 2-click purchase flow (no shopping cart!) that made it really fast and easy for people to buy individual design assets. Since then we’ve learned that this transactional marketplace was great for consumers and freelancers, but really painful for creative professionals who needed to expense every transaction, or interrupt their workflow to make a purchasing decision every time they needed a new asset. So we built Creative Market Pro to make it easier for them to bring the content they love into their daily work with their teams. With a single subscription, they can now get up to unlimited downloads of high quality, curated fonts, graphics, templates, add-ons, photos, and themes  each month. We also went even further by adding team accounts, shared downloads, project-based collaboration, commercial licensing, and up to $250k legal indemnification – everything a pro would need. There are more than 260,000 unique assets available as part of the product on day 1, and our vision is for Creative Market Pro to continue to grow to offer everything you’d need for your creative projects, all under one roof. Building a new two-sided marketplace is hard, even for a team like ours that’s been around for a few years, so let me know if you have any questions about the product or process that went into getting to launch. @aaron_epstein Hey Aaron, nice work! 🤓 In regards to the subscription business mechanic, how do you pay shop owners for each sale and offer unlimited downloads to subscribers for a set fee? Always wondered how this business works? Thanks in advance for your response.

Since we have different customers paying different amounts for different usage rights of the assets they download, we ended up going with a Subscriber Share model first written about here: https://medium.com/cuepoint/how-... See also: http://subscribershare.com So a subscriber that is paying extra for more usage rights of the assets they download will give more money to each of the creators they download from, rather than throwing all subscription fees into a big pool and dividing it by the total number of downloads. That means if someone's paying $200/month and only makes a single download, we take a 50% cut and then give the remaining $100 to the creator they downloaded from. On the other hand, if they downloaded 100 assets, 70 from creator A and 30 from creator B, then creator A would get $70 and creator B would get $30. Hope that helps explain!

@itsnblackburn Hi Nathaniel, that's a really great question. We're using the new Creative Market Pro design work as catalyst to level up the UI of Creative Market in iterative waves soon. Our plan is to evolve the friendly, crafted, approachable qualities of Creative Market in a responsible way. It's a memorable part of our brand that speaks to creators everywhere, and it's also 5+ years old. We're going to keep moving Creative Market to a certain degree towards the Pro look (which has a modern feel to speak directly to design professionals), but keep them distinctive and differentiated. It will be a tricky balancing act for sure. You'll see a few upcoming Medium posts (https://medium.com/building-crea...) from Bronwyn (lead brand designer), Noah (lead product designer), and I about the choices we made with Creative Market Pro and what they mean for our next steps for Creative Market.

@gerrenlamson when you hired Noah , I anticipated big changes in CM. if I'm not wrongyou've got thehuge likes for the charts shots on dribbble. Anyway changing design of CM will perform better than the current state IMO đź‘Ť

@srikanth_noah Yep! We've wanted big changes at Creative Market and Noah was brought on to help with that. He's helped us transform Creative Market over the first 3 years in an iterative way - the changes over time shifted the whole system (and still are), and then he led the product design on Creative Market Pro to create a few new system that will continue to influence and force Creative Market to make even big progressive shifts soon. Congrats on getting this built and launched, Aaron. It was clearly quite the undertaking. As a shop owner and customer I can vouch the UI for buyers and sellers is very smooth and easy to use. Great work, everyone at Creative Market!
