There's a lot of talk about "community" right now, but if you're ready to actually bring your community together, Crowdstack is your happy home. I'm so excited that we get to make our appearance here in Product Hunt today!
Molly O'Neill
Hi Product Hunters! This is Molly from the Crowdstack team. We launched Crowdstack Pro so anyone can create a virtual community that aligns with their own brand whether a business, organization, rock band, golf club, or even a group of gamers. One of the biggest problems with meetings/events (virtual or live) is that once the meetings are done, the conversation stops. Virtual communities allow conversation and relationships to grow outside of a meeting or event. Crowdstack Pro has a slick user interface and all the features you need to bring people together over common interests. With a Crowdstack Pro site, you choose from a menu of options for engaging (blogging, discussion forums, surveys, videos, images, chat, private messaging, etc). With just a few pieces of information, your site can be spun up quickly with default settings available. If you have specific needs, you can always change and customize later. There is built in reporting to monitor and see how your community is growing and interacting. Why do people use Crowdstack Pro? 1) To move beyond set meeting times and engage anytime 2) For a safe space away from Facebook Groups for your audience to interact with each other and you 3) To create user-generated marketing (UGM)- the most effective way to increase the size and impact of your user base. Plans available for businesses, non-profits/associations, and even hobbies! Most plans have unlimited page views and members - because we want to support growth and not make it hard. Feel free to ask us anything! Molly

Hi Product Hunters, Here is a quick update on new features in Crowdstack: Digests are now available. Crowdstack members can choose between weekly or daily digests where they can receive a summary of all new or trending posts from their Crowdstack communities. Social Home Page was added. If you are used to using social networks, this will look very familiar. The social home page allows members to scroll down a list of all the content and impressions. We are continuing to innovate....we do early announcement of new releases on our blog that can be found at: https://hey.crowdstack.com/blog

Hi everyone, Providing an update to our most recent developments. Digests Added: Members can choose to receive a daily or weekly digest of recent or trending posts for their Crowdstack community. We still have other notification controls but this is a great addition for those who like to receive this information packaged up nicely. Social Home Page Added: There is now a more "social" looking home page where members can scroll down to see all the most recent engagement and reactions. If you use social networks, it will look and feel familiar. There are still menus to help organize by content type but the social feed is a great way to get up to speed quickly. We continue to do lots of development on this product and are excited for the road ahead. Molly

Can you talk about the problem behind FB groups? What makes them unsafe and how does your product solve that problem?
Rosemary O'Neill
@james_adler Thanks for asking, James! Nothing intrinsically dangerous about FB Groups, but they are suboptimal for true engagement and business growth because you do not control or own the experience, the member data, the SEO benefit, the monetization opportunities, or anything about it. I see FB Groups as a possible outpost or supplemental contributor to a larger social community, but it's always best to have a hub that you control. Because Crowdstack dovetails with your own website, and gives you 100% control, it solves for all of the challenges I described.

Would you recommend this for people without a current audience? I’d rather draw people in via a community platform than an email campaign?
Molly O'Neill
@jen_armstrong2 We have seen people use Crowdstack to create a new audience as well as grow existing audience/members/fans. Email campaigns are great for sending messages out (one-way communication), but don't build a community where people can interact around a common interest. Once you build a community - It is easier to have calls to action, input, and support.
