@Convergence launched Proxy yesterday and ended up at #3 on the leaderboard. Has anyone tried it and compared it against @OpenAI 's Operator?
I tried Proxy for:
Finding flights based on my criteria
Searching for and booking restaurant reservations based on preferences
Finding contact information
Summarizing news
Overall, it did pretty well. It feels faster than Operator and was able to navigate past captchas. I ran into some slowness as I think they're experiencing a ton of traffic but I think Proxy shows a lot of promise, especially if they launch an API with structured outputs.
Has anyone else tried Proxy?
I tried on sites like Indeed, it was blocked by captcha and stuck there.
I also tried Proxy on simple landing page to submit form and it worked.
@stefan_smiljkovic We've looked into CAPTCHA, thank you for reporting this issue. We upgraded our CAPTCHA solver and also have instructed Proxy to wait longer for CAPTCHAs. While not perfect, hopefully more outcomes are smoother.
Yes, i tried ordering groceries from the delivery application. It did it really faster than I expected.
As i was ordering using a Proxy, it asked me for my login credentials, payment credentials etc.
For other tasks, does it keep a login session (on browerbase) at least so that after each session i don't need to login for the same thing? I think this should happen as I also have the option to schedule it at a certain time.
Just wanted to confirm.
@archiexzzz We use cookies (securely stored, although you can disable them or reset them anytime in your settings). That way, when one session finishes up, you'll have some of the same logins for the next session. However, some websites may have strict security and require re-logins.
Thanks @steveb for testing these things out!
I also recommend brainstorming a few automations that you'd like to run daily. Although Proxy can definitely find a flight or purchase a product, I find it's strength comes in the ordinary day-to-day repeatable tasks. Let me know if you want any ideas, happy to help cook prompts with you too!
The slowness you experienced was due to a few bottlenecks, our first time scaling up this big. We were able to fix it all, so please do test again this weekend.
I have seen a lot of folks asking for Proxy API on Reddit. Any plans? @tanmay_jain_
