Payments on Contra — Work the way you want, get paid, zero commission

For payments in only stated US Banks. We currently support payouts through US bank accounts (including those setup through 3rd party services) When i change to country "Singapore" it says "An error occurred generating a Stripe onboarding URL" I love the idea, but if you're doing this for the independents. Make sure is possible for international. PS: cool marketing video.

It's a privilege to build a product and brand that I wish existed when I was independent. We're on a mission to empower independent careers, and do it the right way. This launch is just one of the ways we're making it happen. Finally there's a platform that supports independent and flexible work, commission-free. So you can keep doing what you love.

How does it work exactly? Do I get paid in USD? How are you able to skip the credit card fees? There is not a lot of explanation here and it makes it look like a scam. Are you using a traditional bank/card rails? Is there a fee elsewhere? More transparency will be good. EDIT: after digging more I've found this: "Contra is 100% commission free, however clients will be charged a Stripe processing fee for each payment." so there is a ~3% commission after all. This site is very deceiving and I will categorize as false advertising.
