Copilot is an embedded user assistant (yes, AI-powered) that can answer user questions, trigger in-product walkthroughs on the fly, and even complete actions for your users. It can be configured without code for any product.

Hi PH!! A few months ago we launched HelpHub AI. Response was insane and it became our most popular product insanely fast. What we kept hearing: telling users how they can do stuff is great, but can you just make it so they can do the stuff through HelpHub? “How do I invite someone to my account” --> “invite vinay@commandbar.com to my account” “How do I create a new campaign” --> “create a new campaign as a duplicate of my last one” “How do I add seats” --> “Add 3 seats to my account” “Yes I confirm the payment amount” Today we’re turning HelpHub AI into…Copilot. That means each one of your users can get a personalized in-product assistant to help them get the most of your web app or site. Here’s how it works 1. Train it on content (help center, blog, etc) by adding URLs 2. Feed it API endpoints for completing actions 3. Test and embed 🤖 Out of the box, Copilot automatically adjusts based on what your user is doing in your product and feedback they give directly. You should care because a personalized assistant drives.. - More activations - More upgrades - More feedback (via what users are asking about) One of my favorite little hacks is using the system prompt to give your Copilot goals. For example, “When possible and relevant to the conversation, explain to the user what benefits they could get from a paid plan and nudge them to upgrade”. We rolled this out on our own site and it has already led to an uptick in paid plans. Please let us know what you think - let the friendly roasting commence!

Congrats on your launch! Do you use chatgpt as a backend? I guess it’s like you utilize embedding to decide which docs to give LLM.

How do you train it on your help docs & knowledge base exactly? 🤔
Paul Thomson
Hey @emilia_korczynska1! Great question - we can't give away too much on how it works, hope you can understand 😜 however, we provide the autonomy to control what information/sources are ingested and then provide "dials" to fine tune and refine answers to be exactly what you want. 🤖

Very cool ! 👏🏼 I am still a bit skeptical about how much effort and complexity will be the training part? Does it need human feedback also (RLHF of sorts?), otherwise it becomes kind of a rule based system. I admit that asking you to explain that is kind of asking you to expose your IP 😅. All the best, would love to see videos of actual deployments eventually to appreciate how much complexity it can handle!

Congrats on the Launch! First of all.. That landing page.. Absolutely stunning! Back to the theme - decreasing product usage friction could help in decreasing turnover rate greatly. + big benefit of less client support due to improved in-product guidance. Will take a deeper look into CommandBar, looks very promising!
