Imagine if group chat was networked? What if you could search the real world networks you're part of . This major update to Cohort makes it easy for anyone who is part of or has been funded by any of 40 hand picked funds across the US and EU.

Hi Everyone - I'm Eamon, founder of Cohort. Cohort 2.0 is a major upgrade on what we first launched with earlier this year - https://www.producthunt.com/post... What we launched with was simple, yet powerful. We made it easy for you to search for interests, skills, abilities and people across your network of close relationships. And that was it - just search and discovery. Sounds simple, but it was backed by a social graph of over 2 billion relationships, and a lot of data analysis and engineering. We knew we needed to get the foundation of that right, before building anything else on top of it. Over the summer, we started working on how that could be extended in a way that feels natural. And what's more natural than chatting with someone? This update introduces two major abilities. - the ability to message people you're close to - your cohort of personal / professional relationships. - the ability to message and search across real world networks that you are part of

I was introduced to Cohort this week and was blown away at how impactful it is. Connecting to strangers within my network is a lot less awkward and building new business relationships much easier!

(I am an investor in Cohort)

I have a large network - but that doesn't mean it is usable. Cohort allows me to take advantage of the networks within the networks. This makes my network much more usable. Works well too ;)

Pros:

Cohort allows me to view my network in an actionable way.

Cons:

Hmm. I would love for cohort to automatically build out my networks. Hopefully soon!

Thanks @harper - it's roadmapped 📐

Posted this on the original Cohort ProductHunt page: I really appreciate this idea, as I had a similar one recently, but no way to bring it to life (yet). Would be nice to have a web browser-based version, like Prefer does.
