Too many meetings? We can help with that 👇
🎥 Replace your next meeting with a short video and get feedback faster
✨ Record the meetings you keep with AI notes and transcripts
📺 Scale your team’s knowledge with a video workspace designed for your org
📣 Claap 2.0 is HERE! 📣
Less than a year ago, we achieved a huge goal — launching Claap. Thanks to people testing our beta, talking about us, and sharing our story, we were able to give our tool to the world and help everyone spend less time meeting, and more time doing.
Our mission hasn’t changed. In fact, we want to go one step further. That’s why we’ve made Claap 2.0 😎
For the 1st time, we bundle in a single video workspace:
🎥 Screen Recording — Replace your next meeting with a short video and get feedback faster
✨ Meeting Recording — Record the meetings you keep with AI notes and transcripts
📺 Video Wiki — Turn video content into scalable knowledge with a video workspace designed for your org
We'd be happy to get your feedback on Claap 2.0!
@robin_bonduelle Sounds like a very powerful conference tool. I always believe that doing is more important than just meetings. This tool greatly increases the efficiency of meetings. Congrats!
@victoria_wu Thx for the kind word! To be precise, we're not a conference tool, as we don't host live meetings. Instead, we come on top of conference tools to let you record your meetings, get transcripts, and collaborate asynchronously on the recordings (watch, comment, ...).
Hello everyone!
I’ve been following the Claap team since the beginning, and almost one year after their public launch, I’m excited to introduce you to their new version!
As a remote-first company at Maze, I often had to answer questions on the best way to work — async vs. meetings — so I’m pretty excited to see for the first time a solution that manages to bundle meeting recordings, async videos, and video knowledge into one unified video workspace to speed up alignment & decision-making.
Let’s go team!
Great question @eonpilot. Here’s a quick way to understand if recording a Claap is better than a written message:
- If the context is hard to grasp otherwise (sign: you’re starting to write a super long message)
- If feedback is hard to get (sign: you start being stuck in endless messaging threads)
But nothing better than hear from our users directly: :)
Amazing product. I've been using it for customer discoveries and various features are really useful: automated transcript, ggmeet and notion native integration, workspace organization... it turbocharged my collaboration capabilities!
@alexandre_berriche thanks for your constant support! I remember our first discussion and your idea of Notion for video in the company - well, seems like you were showing us the way from the beginning :)
Meeting recording seems to only work in Google Meet and records *my screen*, not join as a separate member. That has quite a few drawbacks – are you planning to change that going forward, @robin_bonduelle ?
@robin_bonduelle@felixkaiser Thanks for your feedback and question, Felix. Indeed, we know there are a few limitations with the current integration. We want to build a native meeting recording solution, but preferred to launch it this way so we iterate on user feedback. Please consider joining our Slack Community to share your feedback as you explore Claap: https://join.slack.com/t/firstcl...
@felixkaiser to be more precise, you can import Zoom meetings with our Zoom integration. This is not automated yet, but you can manually import your meetings in 1 click.
Our plan is to add automated Zoom recordings in the coming weeks. We'll follow up with a bot in Google Meet. Feel free to send me a DM in our slack community, I'd be happy to know more about your needs as we're working on the roadmap for next steps.
Congrats on launching team! Claap looks great! I'm all in favour of reducing meeting time. What features do you think are essential for a video call platform to be efficient for remote teams?
@mehdi_rifai thanks Mehdi!
Claap is not a video call platform but we integrate with it. The idea of Claap to build a all-in-one video workspace to speed up alignment.
Here's how we approach features development to make it happen:
- Universal video recording: we need to have a way to centralize all videos created in the workplace (both from meeting recording or async videos). That's why we have integrations with Zoom or Google Meet but also chrome and desktop apps to record short videos
- Video intelligence: video can be hard to scan so we're adding features to make it more digestible (transcript, summary, chapters, etc..)
- Collaboration: video can be a bit top-down and hard to collaborate on that's why we added video annotations, threads, video replies, etc..
- Collaborative workspace built for team: you can have multiple team use cases linked to videos (from product demos, user research, design reviews, etc..) so you might need to organize your workspace depending on this (access, integrations, views..)
I use Claap a lot and have been a relief: things that took ages to explain or documentate became a 5 minute video (or several). Ideal to test issues with development teams or to explain a process to someone new (and avoid explaining it 5 times).
Very useful if you work with different timezones.
