Upload documents with your data or add a link to your website and get a ChatGPT-like chatbot that can answer any question on them. Then add it as a chat widget to your website.
Hey Product Hunters 👋
I am Yasser, and I am really excited to share with you Chatbase.co
Chatbase lets you build a ChatGPT-like chatbot from your data then embed it on your website as an iframe of a chat bubble!
Chatbase also allows you to give your chatbot a name, a personality, and any set of instructions you want (eg. answer in bullet points, answer in French...) by editing the base prompt (system message for the OpenAI developers).
This allows you to build a persona for your company/website that your users can interact with get answers from!
I first launched Chatbase about 8 weeks ago on twitter (it looked very different) and it went viral! I got a ton of users which led to many feature requests and bug reports.
But I am glad to say that it is being used in production right now by many of my customers and hopefully more people here will find it valuable too!
Here is a link to the Product Hunt launch assistant that I built in the demo (No signup required): https://www.chatbase.co/chatbot-...
Thank you for your support, and can't wait to hear your feedback! ❤️
We are paid users of Chatbase. We love the product and it has become a critical part of our own product strategy. We use it to create multiple chatbots for our data on cybersecurity vendors. As an experiment I uploaded the PDF of Security Yearbook 2022. It took only 15 minutes to have a chatbot on our website that people could use to query the contents of the book.
I have a little “knowledge base” sort of document with lots of info. It's not super structured. Is that something I could feed into Chatbase as source material for a chatbot? ?makers
I think your pricing looks better than other similar tools. But there is a big jump from $20 to $50. As an alternative, would you consider changing to a model where clients can put their own API key in? I know you are hoping to make more money the you have set it up but I think you would have a very high rate of take up and you would end up with a much larger business if you did it this way. $19/month BYO key, for example. Marking up the API is not going to be the way forward and the first chatbot to allow BYO API key will run away from the competition, imo.😊
And I don't want to sound negative...The test I did with your own bot was very impressive...very fast and correct answers every time....Qudos!
...and now I notice that you alread have this functionality in the the unlimted plan....."You get 12,000 message credits included in the plan when you subscribe. Every message after that will use your OpenAI API key that you can add in your account page. So you get the cheapest possible price per message after you hit the limit."
My thinking is to allow people to use their own API key and have a lower pricing that is more accessible. I think you would get higher uptake and also be more profitable in the long run.
Hey Maker.
I loved the idea and how it is working.
But pricing needs to be revaluated and also I've caught an error on your site on this page and it is giving "Unexpected JSON error"
