Great app! Have purchased! Will there be an iphone app? Itll be great to have notifications on the phone. Also, how about a chrome extension? 😉 @floschliep
Florian
@yougeekybastard Apple rejected the Mac version, so if I created an iOS version, they would probably reject it too. A chrome extension will come with the next update.

Hi @floschliep - it is an interesting idea, and I think it looks great. I tend to buy any apps I want as soon as I see them because otherwise I forget about them - but I think it could be a compelling idea as a means of recommending apps to friends etc. Do you allow users to add their Apple affiliate IDs to the App Store links when sharing their lists, or are you affiliating the links yourself?
Florian
@siburb Hi Simon! At the moment I'm affiliating the links myself, but that's an interesting idea. I'll keep this feature in mind for a future version, thanks!
Matthew Cassinelli
@floschliep @siburb I'd be interested if it either had no affiliate link or I could add my own. It makes me uncomfortable to pay for the app and then have you make money off all the lists I create.
Florian
@mattcassinelli @siburb As of version 1.1 you'll be able to add your affiliate token to the lists you share.

Hey Product Hunters! I'm Florian, the maker of Ceceree. Ceceree is an OS X app that lets you create lists of apps from both the iOS and Mac App Store, share your lists with others and keep track of the apps you added. There's a special offer for Product Hunters: use the code "producthunt" during your checkout to get 25% off! Feel free to join the conversation! I can't wait to hear what you think about it. Thanks @bentossell for posting Ceceree.

@floschliep Hey Florian! Great idea -- I always add apps to my App Store Wishlist (cannot add free apps for some reason) and this seems useful. How do you pronounce Ceceree?
Florian
@thomasmeagher Hey Tom! Ceceree is meant to be pronounced Englisch. Google Translate can apparently pronounce it the right way ;) (P.S.: you can add free apps to Ceceree)

Way too much text on this landing page. Getting notifications about price changes for apps is an AWESOME feature. Unfortunately it's buried in your site. If you can actually help people save money, that totally justifies the price of your app. Why not make that more prominent? I'm a bit hesitant to click a button that says "buy now" without having any idea what the price is. If this took me to the mac app store I'd feel a lot less friction for purchasing. I dislike having the enter my email, cc, because through the app store I wouldn't have to and your app is a mac app. Seems like a lot of work for a 2.99 app. Personally, I'm much more likely to purchase a cheap app through an app store. You can detect I'm in Australia but the price is shown in euros. I have no idea what that is in AUD and I'm too lazy to look it up. Personally, I find your name difficult to parse and I don't know how to pronounce it. I don't know how it connects to the concept of the app. These factors make your name difficult for me to remember. I know it can be very difficult to find a name that is easy, yet unique, and relates to the concept. Just something to consider.
Florian
@hey_arne Hey Sarah, thanks so much for your feedback! I really appreciate that. There's just one thing I can't change: Apple doesn't allow Ceceree on the Mac App Store, so the way how one can purchase it won't change.
