Have you ever tried using gamification in parenting?
Jonny Miles
@eshalievbakyt really fun idea! Do the kids enjoy iy?
Bakyt Eshaliev
@jonnymiles Hi! Yes, I was lucky to talk to parents (including my sister) who use gamification, and their kids really enjoy it!

Do kids use it? How's the response so far?
Bakyt Eshaliev
@ashitvora Hi! We just launched, so we don’t have feedback from kids yet. It’s a bit challenging to do customer development with kids since their responses can vary a lot depending on the kid, or even the same kid at different times and moods. During the development stage, we worked with several kids, but didn’t get as much insight as we’d hoped, likely due to our lack of experience in this area. If anyone has experience with customer development involving kids, we’d love to hear and learn from you! What we do know is that kids love games and rewards. While we’re staying open to reasons why some kids might not like Carrot, we’re committed to making adjustments until they do. Overall, we expect kids will love it! I hope that answers your question! :)

@eshalievbakyt that's where my concern is - will apps like these not make kids more addicted to phone? Again, I'm not trying to demotivate you. What you have done is excellent. People just dream, you have made it reality so kudos for that. This question is from myself to myself :-)
Bakyt Eshaliev
@ashitvora Hi Ashit! Thank you for the great question! Carrot doesn’t require kids to spend a lot of time on their phones. Instead, it focuses on making offline activities more fun, and then kids can quickly claim their rewards on the app. We’re also concerned about phone addiction and believe Carrot can be a helpful tool to encourage more real-world engagement.

how do I try this? I don't see link in my app

Congrats on the launch! Carrot sounds like a fantastic way to make parenting fun and engaging. I love the idea of turning daily tasks into adventures! How does the app help kids stay motivated for school and sports?
Bakyt Eshaliev
@scar_qin Thanks! Besides daily habits, Carrot has “quests” where you can set goals like “get an A” or “score a homerun.” These quests make it fun for kids to stay motivated with school and sports. I hope that answers your question! :)

I don’t have kids, but definitely will recommend Carrot to my friends with kids! I use similar system of rewards for myself on my bad days and it definitely works! :) Love the design of Journey screen~
Bakyt Eshaliev
@tegamichi Thanks! Me too! I use something like that myself, and that’s when the idea came to me that it would work even better with kids. :)

The idea of parents creating adventures for their kids is really creative and empowering.
Bakyt Eshaliev
@malka_parveen Thanks! We also believe Carrot will help empower kids and give them a sense of control over what they do and the results they achieve. :)
