Hi ProductHunt! Due to the recent TikTok ban, we have seen a big surge of English-speaking users coming into Red Note (Xiaohongshu), the Chinese social media app. As a user on the platform and a software developer, I really enjoy the fresh content on there and it was eye-opening for me. I noticed that the videos being uploaded by TikTok Refugees usually do not have Chinese subtitles, or have poorly translated ones. So I went ahead and put together a free tool to help add a clear Chinese translation onto the videos. It has been fun seeing these new videos and sharing new ideas and thoughts with more people. I want to be able to share them with my family like my father (who loves fishing and gardening) and my girlfriend (who enjoys baking a lot). I hope my tool can help inspire people between US and China. Cheers!

@xiao_tu Indeed. I think I could have reacted sooner on Monday when the TikTok Refugee traffic started to hit Red Note. But it didn't occur to me that my existing product fits right in until I saw that still many of the users post videos without any subtitles. On Wednesday I made the call about what the minimal feature set should be, and a launch plan for what and where I am going to post, and then I went for it and spent a day to hack everything together. To be honest, I wasn't hoping for the PH launch to be this good, but hey here we are!
