@iamdeveloper Hi! Seems like a Github issue. Can you try downloading it again? Let me know if you have any other issues!

Hi, 😇 I'm proud to announce that we (@vernon_dg and I) are shipping the new Caption today. Back in February, we released the first version of Caption (https://www.producthunt.com/post...) the easiest way to find and download subtitles on your Mac. Through simple design, drag & drop search, and automatic downloading & renaming the app allowed you to just start watching. On release, Caption garnered quite some attention thanks to Product Hunt, and a lot has happened since then. In numbers: Caption has been downloaded over 65.000 times and every weekend about 6.000 people all over the world use it to download subtitles. Over the past year, we’ve also been able to gather a lot of feedback from our users. As it turns out, most requests we received were about adding support for Windows and Linux. Well… we’ve been listening. Several months ago, we started from scratch and rebuilt the app from the ground up. We built a more sophisticated search algorithm, we made a separate Node.js package for the core logic, and… we made Caption available for every platform. Now, after insane amounts of coffee, many sleepless nights, and hundreds of Git commits, we're finally ready to ship the new Caption, and let you just start watching… on MacOS, Windows, and Linux! New features: - Get notified when your subtitles are downloaded. - Added support for multiple sources. - Completely new UI. - Added support for Windows + Linux. - Search subtitles directly from macOS Finder / Explorer. Improvements: - Improved search algorithm for file search (we’re now comparing file hashes to find the right subtitle). - Text search will now check multiple sources asynchronously. - Support subtitle search for a large amount of video files. - App launches 5 times faster. PS: Follow the design-roadmap on Dribbble: https://dribbble.com/Giel/projec... Hope you like it 🎉

@vernon_dg @gielcobben isn't it illegal? I really want to know about this that helps me a lot for my startup which is related. looking forward to hearing from you Giel! thanks

@vernon_dg @gielcobben Does caption 2.0 has 'watch folder' feature similar to sublight? Essentially the program will monitor a set folder for new tv shows or movies and then download subtitles automatically. I've been using Sublight for years and the subtitles downloaded are often out of sync, plus they cost $$$. I hope this app works :)

@vinh_pham Hi! We don't support a watch mode (yet). You can, however, drop a folder with movies into Caption. We'll extract all movies and find the right subtitles bases on the hashes of your movie files. Caption will automatically download all subtitles and rename them accordingly.

Nice! Loved Caption from the beginning and it has always been my favourite app to grab subtitles for my shows. Thanks Giel and Vernon for this update. 🙌

The idea is amazing, however I've just tried and although the subtitle was found it was desynchronized. How you guys can improve on that? I'll keep using anyway because It's simply too easy and convenient, however if it does download desync subtitles I'll have to fallback to the traditional means. Thanks

For several years I've been downloading subtitles from external sources. Overall been quite happy, however 25% of them where unavailable or out of sync. Since Caption 2.0 not having any trouble even windows 10. Great app!!
