Tbh I love anyone trying to fix Bookmarks :) First impressions are that this looks slick but (and I know how easy it is to do this!) feels like too many features/options for FTUE, for example Headlines, Cards and Publisher View... Maybe I'm just dumb but I'm not a big fan of new labels and feel a little confused with "Candys" and "Storylines" and struggling to differentiate the two :/ Perhaps I shouldn't have skip the tutorial.. but then, that's what everyone does, right?! I haven't enough Candys to test yet but I really hope the search function is a proper beast because I lose far too many bookmarks. Haven't seen an import function yet but that would be awesome too. Good luck with this guys, looks great so far!

No bookmarking service is useful unless it has an integration with the Google search results page. Does Candy provide that functionality?
Attila Gajdics
@gollyjer Not yet, but stay tuned, it shall be coming among other useful features.

A real candy of its kind - sweet :)

Just found this while looking for a good tools to annotate the web with. Website has unbelievable production quality to it and a great pitch video. Can't believe I haven't heard of the tool before. Really solid Chrome Extension.
Attila Gajdics
@itsthisjustin Justin, thank you for spotting and listing Candy :) We're really delighted that you found it exciting! We've received tons of valuable feedback and comments here on PH, in our help center, on Twitter and via email, we're considering all comments, there will be further improvements in UI, web and mobile apps are in the works, as well as other great stuff, so I'm confident it's worth keeping and eye on Candy in the coming months too.

@attilagajdics no problem at all! Let me know if you need any help with the mobile apps either with design or development. I'd love to lend a hand.
Attila Gajdics
@itsthisjustin Thank you, we'll do!
Paul Wozniak
@attilagajdics @kocsmy Is there an API available?
Zsolt Kocsmarszky
@iwozzy unfortunately, no. we'll consider it in the future.
Antoine Plu
Sounds really great ! However the issue I have with your product is, we already have ton of interaction on the corner side, thinking about Intercom and other Help Buttons, and so on. I wish I could just hide it and choose in another way if I want to open it...
Siobhan O'Rorke
@antoineplu I've been using it a while and this really bugged me till I started using the shortcuts - Alt + C to turn it off & on again (hides the button), and Alt + Z to open & close the side panel (while the button is showing).
Abhishek Biswal
@siororke @antoineplu Or just click and drag it up, away from the Chat/Help/Other Service buttons.
Paul Wozniak
@wirddin @siororke @antoineplu Although it would be nice if there was an option to remember the new position.
Attila Gajdics
@antoineplu We're considering various options instead of the current solution, stay tuned, I'm confident you'll like the new version in a couple of week's time.

This is so amazing. I've been looking for a note-taking product like this for literally years. I even tried to hire a dev to build this a few years ago (but a bit simpler). Well done!
Damion Alexander
This is actually pretty sweet!! Any plans for a native iOS app?
Attila Gajdics
@nostradamion Definitely. It will arrive during the Autumn.

Just DL'd Candy to get the sweet, beautiful gist of the internet's zeitgeist. @Candy_by_STAR @itsthisjustin

Candy is also available on Slack: Your Candys are now available for your team in Slack you can see it on the Slack App Directory: here
Attila Gajdics
@bentossell Ben, thank you for the comment. It is a core element of our strategy that we want you to be able to make use of all stuff collected and organized with Candy in other apps too.
Towhid Zaman
omg! I love it so far. So simple idea yet so effective. Thank you guys <3
Abhishek Ghuwalewala
Will there be a way to see your candies on the mobile? Native app down the road perhaps?
Attila Gajdics
@abhishekg Definitely! It's in the works already.

This is awesome, incredibly useful for today's digital world, I'm always searching and discovering things I want to recall for later, that sometimes I get mind overflow, this helps with that. Just add image capturing please! and full page screenshots would be awesome as well! Other than that, well done, nice ui and ux. :)
Gerard van Enk
Looks nice! I'm missing the option to import bookmarks from services like delicious or kifi.
David Rogerson
I like it. Simple way to collate thoughts around what are often disparate areas. It says it has evernote integration but can't see this anywhere (unless they mean i can export the text and then paste it in there myself). I'm not sure they need the green button in the bottom right at all and it could probably be all done via the app button in the toolbar and on highlight. Looking forward to seeing how it progresses though.
Attila Gajdics
@doivoid It's in the works, and will be coming soon, we'll correct the info on the site. Thank you for the comment!

Where can we report bugs? The sidebar is completely broken on github.com

UI isn't the most intuitive once you start, but the idea itself is great, worth spending a couple minutes on after installing to get a hang of everything. Props on the intro video as well, a couple seconds in and immediately realized why i needed this :) One thing that did surprise me though was how little emphasis was put on how useful this could be for students. Especially college/high school students who do a ton of writing + research and often have separate docs open for quotes/snippets/condensed research, etc. Any reason why this wasn't done? Seems like the ideal subset of people to go after for something like this.
Nikita
This looks really great, I am curious whether you are planning to release a Safari extension version of this in the future?
Attila Gajdics
@nikitavoloboev You're not alone, it's on our agenda!
Colin Lee
The idea seems good. It reminds me of a more polished version of Opera Notes from way back in the day. It would be helpful to offer saving screenshots to a Candy as well. I just found a bug where Candy almost immediately started putting html/css names for everything on top of its HTML elements, both in the sidebar and on the storyline. I'm not sure how I reproduced this. It went away when I closed and re-opened with option-C.

I've been using it for a few days now and really like it! Congrats on the overall quality, features and design! The only thing that's been bothering me is that when I turn it on, every tab that was previously opened reloads. I'm not a tech guy, but somehow I feel that it made my Chrome slower / "lagged". Has anyone else experienced that as well?
