Hey Product Hunt! The existing audio sharing market is notoriously overly complicated to use, outdated and often not fit for purpose. Our goal, when we first launched Byta back in 2015, as a team of 3, was to simplify the secure exchange of digital audio, empowering users to send, receive and listen to audio files. At the time we were fully bootstrapped, chipping away at our product in our spare time. In 2020, after 5 years of building our product, we received over $1.9m CAD in funding, and this allowed us the opportunity to grow as a team, and as a product. We have spent the last year, with the help of Byta’s most dedicated users, the app has been redesigned from the ground up. The new cleaner Byta is an experience that is easier to navigate, saving you time when you need to send and receive audio. Along with a completely new look and feel, we have streamlined features, worked on speed improvements, and continued to build on our commitment to security. Key updates of note: - Previous users of Byta will notice a simplified Share page. Allowing for easier access to the different methods of sharing audio. - Recipients of audio now have access to more detailed audio pages. With audio player for easy track skipping, allowing for better feedback to senders. - All users now have access to indepth onboarding. - Easier to navigate Mobile and Tablet experience Moving forwards the redesign means we have laid the ground work for more features in the coming months. Thank you Product Hunt community for your past feedback, we hope you enjoy #BrandNewByta. Got questions? Leave them below.

For those who don't work in and around music I think a quote from a Forbes profile on Byta last year says it all: "over 40,000 new songs are uploaded to Spotify daily, so artists rely on promotion to break through the noise." In less than a year since that was published the number has grown to over 60,000! Byta simplifies the secure exchange of digital music, empowering users to send, receive, and listen to audio files and streams. This makes creating, promoting and discovering audio faster and more efficient. Bonus Info: Our background is working in and around music but many of the users signing up are other audio creators - podcasters, audio book makers, voice over artists, etc. So we see the same audio trends platforms like Spotify are seeing...
