I found Butter via a Slack workspace in June 2020, and I immediately saw the promise. Spoke to its co-founder Chris and exchanged a few emails. They are always a little more than what you would expect in a new product in this categoryβadding new delightful utilities with tonnes of energy. :)
Being a design and product consultant, I love their attention to details, and the velocity of their decisions making sense in the product itself.
I have referred it to a few of my friends in UX and product for hosting programs and workshops and I am looking forward to see how it scales.

I just spent like 20 minutes in a session with @chrismessina on butter and fell immediately in love.
What's not to love? The UI is simple but very very effective, including features that don't make it usually to the "first launch" iteration, like emoji reactions in chats, uploading gifs and videos, private notes.
Soundboard and video reactions are awesome!
Agenda management, times and polls are all amazing enhancements that folks will love in their workshops.
This feels like it was thought out well and truly. Kudos guys, this is great!

After working remotely for many years, I tend to be skeptical whenever I see another remote work tool. With that being said, Butter is one of the most interesting products I've seen in years.
Zoom/Hangouts is fine if you are chatting with people externally, but many synchronous conversations (especially internally) could really be supercharged by a thin interactive layer on top that solves for key use cases, like meeting notes, sticking to an agenda, and being able to "pull" people up who have questions, comments, ideas.
I'm going to use Butter for all our internal hangout/coworking meetings instead of Zoom. I also love the personality in the product....extremely well-done.

Great job! It's impressive that this runs in the browser and yet it still has so many cool features we could use. I think bringing a Miro board in the session is super smart, I used to jump between screens but that kinda breaks the participants attention.

I'm superpumped about what Butter has built. We had our first call using the platform and at first it seemed like another browser-based video streaming tool... but then they gave me access to the facilitator tools and my mind melted down.
This is some really special software β it's super fun to use and is specially-built for running highly productive online workshops.

We're all 1 year into the "shitty workshop mess" of 11 calendar invites for a 3 hour session, of constantly sending new links back and forth, of people rejoining the wrong rooms and missing sessions. It's broken and it needs fixing. That's what Butter is. The new way to workshop.
As someone who has ran workshops, as someone who attends them, I can safe Butter is just Much better than what you're currently doing.

Sounds really cool. Online workshops almost always are so boring and itβs easy to get distracted. If this platform keeps the participants engaged you may have truly built the better mouse trap.

Just finished my first session with Butter and it is as billed. The best practices of great facilitation are built in and easy to use. Highly recommend!

Honestly can't take any more soul-draining "workshops" on normal video conferencing software. Butter to the rescue, we all need this!
The smoothest on the market yet. Been trying tons of tools lately and honestly I prefer Butter not just for it's functionality and reliability but for it's personal design.
Butter is a delightfully refreshing take on video. Everything about the product generates energy and engagement in workshops and meetings.
The breakouts are seamless and have all the common setups ready to go. The agendas are a game changer β being able to plan beforehand and adjust on the fly gives me so much confidence going into a session. The reactions and soundboard are just plain fun.
It's rare to find a product that has so much delight designed into it. I can't say enough good things about Butter, and they're only getting started π§π§π§
