I’m Diego. Part of the Product Team here at Buffer. I’m excited to share our launch of Start Page with you all today.
At Buffer we are all about helping Small Businesses and people with dreams of starting one. We want to empower creators around the world and want to see a world with more Small Businesses, more artist and more creators thrive and build their dreams.
We noticed that when you have an idea for something you’d like to sell such as a physical product, your services, or even your art, you need a place to showcase your work. A place where your community and audience can find all the relevant information about what you have to offer. A place your brand can call home that you can share everywhere. And with this in mind, we’ve created Start Page.
Start Page is a versatile online presence for you to share your work, your products and services, but also to point your community to relevant links. All of this, for free and putting your brand first. Start Page is completely free to use and comes with different options to really make your content stand out, and more importantly: Put your brand first with different free customization options (and more to be added soon!), as well as a unique username which you can claim and becomes the first part of the URL so the first thing your visitors see is your brand.

We see it as potentially a new category: When you are just getting started with an idea you want something that you can easily customize (make changes on the fly and quickly, no code), but you also want something that allows you to express what your brand is about (with images, videos, GIFs).
This is so so much better than any other options I've had before for my link in bio on Instagram. It allows me to group together all my various projects (including photos and videos) in one link, and it shows them all off in a colourful and engaging way to my followers! Okay I did it. It was super intuitive. A few things I would want to see. The ability to embed a youtube video without controls so that video can start automatically without the user having to hit the red play button.
