Write and run complex browser automations with Puppeteer or Playwright, without the hosting headaches. With v2.0, we now host headless Chrome, Firefox and Webkit. Plus, there are new extra features such as our NodeJS SDK and residential proxy.
Hey folks! Today we're super excited to launch browserless.io on Product Hunt, more specifically, V2! Throughout the years of operating browserless, we wanted to build on top of the foundation we've made in the first iteration. Version 2 is a rewrite and supports all three browsers, includes better security, and is coming with a NodeJS SDK very soon to write your own services on top of browserless.
Browserless is amazing, it is the exact kind of thing that I *need* to exist but have no interest in figuring out how to build (because it is very challenging to do so).
Integration was seamless. Support is extremely responsive & engaged.
I can't wait to build with v2, I'm excited.
I've was very happy to be able to implement Version 1 in my python project in 5 minutes. New version seems very cool. Can't wait to try it out. Good luck!
Kudos on the launch of such an amazing product! As a lifelong automation aficionado, your product hits right in the feels of my pain points. Just curious—will Selenium join the party in your roadmap, or is it staying old school? Can't wait to see what's next!

Congratulations to Joel and team! We are long-time customers and even though I haven't tried the new version yet, one thing I can tell you about Browserless is that they offer amazing support. Every time we had to figure how to do something, Joel dug in the code and helped us move forward.
Hey everyone! Very excited to be launching Browserless v2.0 today.
As a bit of backstory...
Browserless was started as a response to the old automation options. There were either no/low-code tools with their own libraries, or you could get lost in building the whole setup yourself.
So, Browserless was made as the best of both.
It's full-code, meaning it uses the unmodified libraries of Puppeteer or Playwright. But, all the headless browsers are hosted and scaled for you. Even if your automation needs to perform logins, run hybrid with user input, store downloads or anything else, you can run it with Browserless.
v2.0 has been a major overhaul, which includes:
💻️ Support for headless Chromium, Firefox and Webkit
👻 Residential proxies and improved stealth features
👨💻 A /function API to run scripts direct in the browser, not in Node
🔌 A NodeJS SDK for writing and creating your own routes
🔧 All our own frameworks and routing libraries
We're excited to hear your thoughts and feedback! Whether it's scraping, QA testing, PDF creation or anything else we're very happy to discuss weird and wonderful use cases.
