Long working hours make it hard to beat a sedentary lifestyle and stay fit. Brogrammer is for all the busy bees. Easily squeeze mini workouts in your busy schedule and keep your body moving, even if you don't have time to go to the gym.
I think I speak for a lot of people here when I say that long office hours can really get in the way of your overall health and fitness sometimes. Some days, you have no time or energy to hit the gym and do a full workout. This is where Brogrammer can help you. Check it out and let us know how we can improve it!
I value fitness a lot ππΌοΈββοΈ, but I can empathize with people who do a lot of sedentary work and have very little time in their daily schedules to exercise. I've been there myself, and it's very easy to spiral down into very unhealthy patterns ππ»ββοΈ. Brogrammer is meant to help you break these patterns and squeeze mini workouts into your busy routines. πββοΈ It's as easy as clicking a button, and the web-app will keep sending you alerts π’ every once in a while to perform a random exercise for x duration or y number of repetitions. If you want more control, just create your own challenge and set parameters like type of exercises, level of difficulty, frequency of alerts, and more. And the best part? This is open source π₯³ππ , just like all of the other stuff Team Xenox π₯ has released so far this year. So if you have any cool feature ideas in mind, don't wait for anyone else to add them. Just build them yourself! π
Let me know what more you'd like to see in Brogrammer! I started the year with a commitment to release 12 products in 2019. This is my 9th product so far and we have 3 more to go. They will all be awesome, so be in touch! π€ππΌ
Great concept...since a lot people just need a simple reminder to do something active. But maybe the main character in the logo is a bit ambitious considering these workouts.
Really good idea for an app but honestly as a female developer I was put off by the name and think many others will too. Once I used it I really liked it but others might totally skip it because of the name alone. It's totally fine if your target audience is only men but in a culture right now where female engineers are fighting so hard against toxic masculinity in tech you might be missing the chance here to get a broader group to use and interact with your app.
@gkindahl1 I understand that. We used this name from TV series "Silicon Valley". Our intentions was never to send such message. We should have done some more research before choosing this name. I ensure that we will come up with a better name for this project soon. We in Team XenoX, We have always promoted the importance of female programmers. Ironically 1 of the contributor in this project is a female developer.
Good to see people are making more of an effort to take breaks from sitting still for long hours. It's not good for you. All in favour of an app like this.
Seeing the recent increase in long sitting hours, this could be helpful to prevent health aliments.. It also makes you off screen for a while.. saving you from CVS..
Looking at the design.. It looks simple and effective.. Nice Job..
As i have to sit for long hours in a day and at the same time i'm a gym freak and health conscious guy,i think this is a great app for guy like me and loved the name too!..
I would love to see this as a mobile app. The idea if downloading onto my phone and having it notify e randomly seems more useful, to me, than the web app. Love the idea I need this in my life.
Simple screen + webcam recording
