Hey all, In April we reached #1 Product of the Day for our initial release of Bright with meal logging, sleep tracking, heart monitoring and nutrient analysis. That release sold over 2,000 Lifetime Access passes and helped us prepare Bright for our App Store release in July. Today we're sharing the latest major update - unlocking the Insights tab. This brings Whoop-like functionality to all Bright users. Recovery, stress and exertion scores, alongside journalling and body recomposition programs to lose weight, gain muscle or maintain will all be available by the end of the month. Our vision for Bright is to be the last health app you need. To reach this, we're steadily releasing parts of Bright to the general public to test our app on TestFlight. We're only going to release Bright on the App Store once we believe it's safe, reliable and accurate. To help reach this stage, we're offering Lifetime Access to Bright for USD $67.99 or AUD $99.99. There are only a few limited spots so get in while you can. Let me know if you have any questions, Thanks :)

@bryan_jordan Congratulations on the launch of Bright! Bright is a super health app and all the functionality on one platform.šŸ‘

@bryan_jordan @max_savonin1 Hey Max! Happy to answer these! Bright integrates with other health apps through APIs or data streamed through Apple's HealthKit. We're currently working on gaining compliance certifications so that any data imported into Bright is safe and protected. We built our data analysis practices and compared them to current existing health apps for accuracy, and look to enhance this with publicly available literature. In the following weeks, we plan on developing actionable notifications on Bright that will serve to enhance a user's health journey. This will be improved over time as we look to consult with professionals in the field and validated by our community! Thank you for your support!

@bryan_jordan I've been looking for exactly this app. I'm not buying an iPhone to try it. Hope you still offer the lifetime promotion when you launch Android.
Bryan Jordan
@shawnhhh itā€™ll work for android!
Sankeerth Julapally
Just got myself a Lifetime Access deal! Excited to see whats in store. Can you share the high-level roadmap please?
Bryan Jordan
@sankeerth_julapally great to hear! Hereā€™s the roadmap - https://roadmap.thebrightapp.xyz...

It looks awesome! I am also creating a health product and it seems to me that it would also be very useful for your product to collect data from wearable devices, such as watches and fitness trackers.
Bryan Jordan
@eugene_lipski thatā€™s the plan!
Andreas Sohns
Amazing update! The addition of an insights tab with recovery and stress scores is impressive. I'm looking forward to seeing more from Bright!
Bryan Jordan
@andreas_sohns thank you!

Love the website and the overall design. And also nice to see someone use reddit as a marketing channel.
Bryan Jordan
@sentry_co cheers!

Longer term it would be awesome if you could have group/family accounts. It would be great to see if the kids are active enough or if the team actually put the runs over the summer.
Bryan Jordan
@ty_robb that's the plan! Good to hear from you again, hope you're well!
Hossein Yazdi
Sounds very helpful. I also like your logo and the clean UI, from your screenshots. Congrats to you all, upvoted you!!
Bryan Jordan
@hosseinyazdi thank you!

Very interesting pricing model. Love how you are rewarding early access folks (unlike many game developers who charge EA folks the same!). Such a lovely interface, will definitely check it out! Is there a way to test out the app first before you buy it? Congrats on the big launch @bryan_jordan and team!

Very ambitious! But why would an Apple ecosystem user use Bright and not just Apple Health?
Kean Jzun Khoo
@chrismessina Thanks for asking! Bright allows users to natively log their meals from a database of 100 million nutrition items. Coupling this with insights like you see on Whoop and Garmin, Bright brings together all relevant health data to create the full picture of a user's health.

I have seen much better designed super health app with unique functionalities, I donā€™t see anything here apart from smell of gimmicks. Infact I didnā€™t care how good the app is since I saw your homepage with marketing gimmick cum scam feeling try of selling lifetime at $99 with creating the fear I might need to buy at $299 a year later. I have the screenshot of your homepage and will surely follow along your journey just to see how your pricing gimmicks change over time. Companies on indiegogo is even better with atleast making some videos to convince on idea. With pretty ordinary prototypes itā€™s a dare to launch here. Congratulations.

Love this! Everything is related to each other when it comes to mental health. Just wondering where we'll be moving into in the future, there's also the other side of over-focusing on health related stuff. Butttttt - pretty like the value prop :)
Anastasiia Stepko
Is it possible to connect Garmin watch to Bright?
Bryan Jordan
@anastasiia_stepko currently via Apple health but will have a direct Garmin integration in a few weeks!
Stefans Keiss
The combination of all these health tracking features in one app is intriguing. Can you elaborate a bit more on how the energy tracking works?
Bryan Jordan
@memphys_sk we use wearable data to track physical activity/TDEE
Chandula Perera
Looks great! would love to try it out when it comes to Android! Congrats on the update!
Bryan Jordan
@chandula aiming for a release by end of the year!
Kehui Guo
Congrats on the update! Love the aesthetics of the app šŸ˜
Bryan Jordan
@kehui_guo thank you!
Kyrylo Silin
Hey Bryan, congrats on the update! The addition of the Insights tab sounds like a great feature for health tracking. How do you ensure the accuracy of recovery, stress, and exertion scores? Also, are there any plans to integrate with other health devices or apps in the future?
Bryan Jordan
@kyrylosilin thanks for the message! We're spending the next few weeks cross-checking our scores against other apps, using the literature available to guide us to write the correct algorithms and speaking with experts to help finalise the results. We currently integrate with Apple Health but plan to directly integrate with Whoop, Garmin, Oura in the coming weeks + allow users to upload data from other apps like MyFitnessPal etc.
Derek Draper
So close to replacing MyFitnessPal for me. Keep up the great work!
Bryan Jordan
@derek_draper1 thank you!!
Olie Fullin
Congrats! very useful app! Are there any new features or improvements users can look forward to?

@jackeye thanks! Right now body recomposition programs are available and in the coming weeks, scores, journalling and alerts will be available!
