I met @ArielDiaz several months ago to learn about Boundless. Great to see how its evolved.
Also check out @artia's Glean, a video-based education site.
Hi All! Happy to answer questions - back to school season is upon us, and textbooks aren't getting any cheaper. In fact, timely article from the Economist shows them rising at 3x inflation for decades: http://www.economist.com/news/un...
@BlendahTom Education is pretty different. First and foremost is the seasonality. In education, you have 2 main cohorts in a given year - each semester. That means you have to bundle all your iterations and tests into two cycles, which makes learning and being lean much tougher vs the usual weekly or monthly cohorts that you can compare directly and learn from. The other big difference is the decision process and adoption cycle. Educators and professors have a big role in what type of content and products get used in the classroom, and reaching them is very different than traditional consumer focuses. We were able to get traction by focusing initially on students, and building out a great library of quality content, that gets quite a bit of usage and organic traffic.
