👋 Hello Product Hunt family! :) I’m really happy to launch the second version of Botletter, my first SaaS company. 📖 Story As a freelance Growth Marketer, I was really pissed off by email newsletters’ low open rates. Chatbots were more and more popular at that time and I thought it could be interesting to try sending updates on Facebook Messenger. I built a first MVP in May for my personal projects and some clients. I was stoked to see that the average open rate was around 80%! Thus, I built a real product that I launched in September. Botletter was born 👶 I have been developing the app alone in India since then. I’m going back to Europe next year to keep developing Botletter. 🙃 🚀 Now Since then, 70,000+ messages have been sent with Botletter to more than 10,000 people. We have several clients ranging from e-commerce companies to newsletters projects, including few French congressmen (true story). Botletter 2.0 is completely redesigned in order to allow our users to send newsletters & drip campaigns to their audience in the simplest way. Unlike Chatfuel or Manychat, I don’t want Botletter to be a bot building platform full of complexity to handle all the use cases. Otherwise, I want to provide the easiest solution to send newsletters & drip campaigns on Facebook Messenger. Botletter is the Mailchimp for Facebook Messenger. 👉 New Features ✅ A more flexible message format: you can send a text message, a text message with a button, a text message with a cards carousel. ✅ Use name variables to send personalized and authentic messages ✅ Schedule your campaigns whenever you want ✅ Edit your scheduled campaigns or cancel them, delete your drafts ✅ Filter your campaigns with gender, subscription date, timezone, localization and segments ✅ Create custom segments ✅ Manage multiple pages with one Botletter account ✅ Invite team members ✅ Create a sequence of automated messages sent to every new subscriber (drip campaigns) The last three months have been quite intense with a lot of bugs fixed and plenty of new features shipped. Thank you to all users sending me messages of support, spotting bugs and suggesting new features! :)

Takes far less effort to get important info out to our subscribers than our mailing list; seeing good open rate with 1:1 messenger messages and this allows us to quickly and easily leverage that platform

Pros:

Good experiences with support, seeing continual improvement in something that launched very lean. Impressive iteration time.

Cons:

Occasional difficulty previewing your letter, although that seems to have been resolved with this release.

Great to see all these updates. Out of interest is there a setting where people can still interact in live chat and they are not forced just to respond to the bot? And is there a way to export email addresses?
Nicolas Le Roux
@krishnade Hello Krishna, it's not possible to remove the get started button but people don't have to respond to the bot if they don't want to. I will write an article about how to collect email addresses but here is how you could do it: -Create a sequence message sent just after a user subscribes -Add a button to your sequence message with the link of your Mailchimp/Mailjet form ;)

Nice to see you iterate so fast :)

@wimgz Thanks! Unfortunately, a bit too fast to get featured on Product Hunt's homepage apparently...
