Botflip is a price comparison and fulfillment engine. Instead of dropping you off at other retailers and snag an affiliate fee, we actually handle fulfillment as well (even if you don't have an account at the retailer).
I've been working on this project in some shape or form for over a decade. A decade is a long time but I'm just a solo founder/engineer. I think this product rivals Google Shopping in functionality and even outdoes it in some areas. I hope you give it a try and give me some feedback so I can improve it further..
Cool product! I tried to test it out and have some feedback-
1) Search for "Rab coat" - Front page had nothing to do with clothing, and when I went to "clothing" it was all t-shirts / other unrelated items for all 6 pages.
2) Search for "Asus M16" (a laptop) - I'm shown lots of parts, even going through all pages I could't find the laptop.
Google shopping returns these products first page in both cases (https://www.google.com/search?q=...) and (https://www.google.com/search?q=...)
Not sure what's happened there, but might be worth checking out :).
@tomyeoman thanks for the feedback! I'm working on adding a way to filter by source on the home page, so you can limit the search to a particular store, like acer.com (coming soon) or bestbuy.com (also coming soon). Right now the search results are mostly from the 50 million products I have from Walmart's inventory. I'm actively also working on scraping amazon for prices for the exact products listed on walmart (but amazon doesn't make it easy).
Have you tried searching by barcode? Is there anything I can do to improve the experience while staying limited to walmart for now (until acer.com and bestbuy.com listings arrive)?
@sambit_behera Seems likely the walmart investory is what's limiting it. I haven't tried barcode, but I don't normally shop that way so wouldn't be too much use to me.
Will definitely keep my eyes out as this product progresses, goodluck on all the new features!
