@andrewgazdecki Congratulations on the launch! Super excited to read and learn from the makers who remain out of the contemporary publications' radar. I believe this is the form to submit a story, right? https://microacquire.typeform.co...
And what's the criteria to be featured on Bootstrappers, like the editorial policy, etc?
@hnshah Thanks Hiten, your support means the world to me. We want to inspire, motivate, educate, and become an ambassador for entrepreneurs avoiding the traditional Silicon Valley path.
@hnshah@andrewgazdecki Couldn’t agree more. This is long overdue for Christian Startups who don’t subscribe to taking on debt to grow and scale. Looking forward to participating!
Hey Hunters!
Andrew founder of MicroAcquire here! Excited to launch https://bootstrappers.com, the publication for bootstrapped startups.
Major media shouldn't be reserved for VC backed startups. There's 1000s of bootstrapped startups building really profitable businesses and that's amazing.
Silicon Valley's narrative is changing.
@andrewgazdecki All the best to you and team, wishing you success for the new initiative, This was much needed and now since you have launched I cant believe that we were relying solely on techcrunch till date!
@andrewgazdecki nice job man! The hardest thing for most technical bootstrappers / hackers is getting the first few customers and finding marketing channels that work. I'm building something to help: https://www.wax.run. Wax is growth platform for hackers that hate selling. It's like an API for growing your SaaS.
Absolutely love this Andrew, as the founder of an exited bootstrapped business and now a pre-seed operator VC, completely agree there are a tonne of awesome stories that need to be told. (big fan of MicroAcquire also - look forward to selling and buying companies over there)!
Congrats @andrewgazdecki and the entire MicroAcquire crew for this amazing launch. The stories are very good. My only recommendation here is that the top navigation bar is so wide that it covers a big portion of the title of the article. On Mobile, this problems doesn't exits.
This is incredible Andrew! Not just a great resource for learning, but a resource for helping bring exposure to quality bootstrapped companies. Love to see it. You're executing 💪
@andrewgazdecki this is incredible.
I can't even being to tell you how many PR people and journalists I've spoken to who've told us to reach back out once we've locked in our first round. It was quite surprising to hear that "there was no story" without a raise.
I'm loving what y'all are doing.
Congrats on the launch, Andrew!
Our team have also bootstrapped from 0, with 0 funding, to 2m ARR in around 3,5 years, so would be great to learn the journey of other founders :)
Congratulation Andrew on the launch. Much needed publication for founders building sustainable business, especially in time where VC backed and often times loss making startups grab all the headline.
I have never been so excited about the launch of a new publication... and I work in media! I've been following MicroAcquire's impressive growth and value offering to entrepreneurs, and this is another perfect piece of the puzzle. This kind of startup news is incredibly needed and will fill a huge gap in the market. Rock on MicroAcquire and now Bootstrappers!
Thanks @andrewgazdecki for including us in this launch - it's a privilege to be one of the faces of bootstrapped success stories. I stopped pitching to prominent tech publications around year ago after it became clear we'd only get featured if we were funded. Bloody frustrating, so really appreciate what you're doing.
Congrats dude! Will be fun watching this grow. Hyped to go to a Bootstrappers conference one day too. Would really standout in the sea of stale startup events. Gives me complex con vibes just thinking about it.
Congrats on the launch, it's been interesting to see you promoting and building in public. Solid domain name obviously, too.
I'm fond of this space (given being the founder of makerviews.com - interviews with makers, creators, designers), and of course being a SaaS bootstrapper, founder of other products, and entrepreneur myself. I look forward to seeing the content that comes from this.
Interesting approach in publicly "shitting on TechCrunch", for lack of a better term, in your tweets leading up to launch - can't say that I agree with tactics there. But good luck on the project!
