Not to be a hater but I don't see this differentiated or unique enough drag my friends onto another messaging app. This could be fun for sharing animated text images (GIFs) via iMessage and other messaging platforms, similar to Ultratext.

@rrhoover Hey Ryan, thanks for the comment. I'm Dave, I made the app. Boop is quite different, but perhaps it's not obvious as to why; something to work on for sure. It really is quite different to Ultratext, in that Ultratext creates gifs whereas in Boop, - Boops _are_ the medium - and they're gone as soon as they're viewed. I understand the pain of getting onto another messaging app, but I honestly think Boop is worth a try. Cheers!

Thanks for jumping in, @daveganly. I realize I'm judging a book by it's cover so I'll give it a try. As someone who plays with new apps on a daily basis, I'm becoming a bit jaded and cognizant of how difficult it is to market something that can break through the noise.

@rrhoover Dude, no worries. I think we all might be suffering from app fatigue, or at least will be soon. I'd love it if you try it though. If you do, add 'dave' and I'll send you an interesting boop or too so you get the idea. :)

This is a really fun app. I had the chance to try out an early version months ago. On the surface, it may seem the same as other apps, but it's not. You've got to check it out.

"Boops are self destructing animated text messages. Boops display one word at a time, so the recipient can’t screenshot them. Throw in emoji and you can create animations called Boopmations. Have fast, back and forth private animated text chats with anyone. Boops delete themselves as soon as you read them, so there’s no history of your private chats."
